Ooh very Royal-like! I feel like a red carpet should just be laid out for me wherever I go ... but I suppose not realistic. tongue haha Although, I expect to have red-carpet like treatment when I plan my spa day in the coming weeks. smile Happy weekend, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Don't we love when we can be treated like royalty, Emily! You especially deserve it. smile Thanks.

Wow!

The balustrade is so ponderous you will think the Requiem is Elevator music by comparison, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It was definitely a good way to start the event, Ray! smile
Awesome! Love how you brought out the red against the b&w! Bravo!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Robin. You know me and selective coloring. smile

Great angle Ginny! The red carpet with the black balustrade make this a dramatic capture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Frances. You can see why it caught my eye.
This is a beautiful staircase with all the sculptured iron Ginnie... i love the red carpet treatment as well....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter. It's nice every so often to feel special, for sure. smile
That looks like the set of any number of old studio films
Ginnie Hart: Now that you mention it, Michael...yes, you're right! smile
Some hopes ...just boring old routine pedestrian chores to be completed before 'her in doors' nags me excessively
Ginnie Hart: Oh no, Richard. Just race to the front door, then, and get out as fast as you can! smile
I am envious!!
Ginnie Hart: It was a total delight, Bill...in payment for some pictures I took at another convert at Christmastime. Lucky us!

What nbtter way than to proceed to the Requiem, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: We were "short of eyes," Lisl. And felt very lucky! As I told Bill, this was in payment for pictures of another concert I took at Christmastime.

Fabulous picture, it was Royal Treatment from the beginning to the end....
We were the first smile to go up that stairs.
For me, it was a wish come true to be able to be inside the building.
TGIF...
Ginnie Hart: I had seen the outside of the Concertgebeouw many times, MLMA, over the past years. To actually be inside for a concert was a dream come true, especially with you. And to think we got the tickets for free! Lucky, lucky us!

Oh yes, the red carpet for you and Astrid! Did you wear a dress like some Oscar- Hollywood- ladies? I in particular like the balustrade of these staircases and a fine compositie! Oh, the famous concertgebouw! I heard its orchestra in Essen!
Ginnie Hart: HA! No dresses reside in our closets, Philine, I'm afraid, but we did dress up more than usual, even for an afternoon concert. It really was quite wonderful. You can see more about it here:

I like the balustrade; looks very grand. Was the red carpet treatment just for you? wink
Ginnie Hart: Wouldn't we all like to think the red-carpet treatment is just for us, Alan?! grin Thanks.
Did you both wear ball gowns for this Ginnie, that would be a lovely picture.giving someone cooking lessons this weekend .
Ginnie Hart: No gowns of any kind in our closets, Mick, but we did dress up a bit for this afternoon show. smile HA! Happy cooking.

That seems to work well Ginnie. I do like the wrought iron (or is it cast) stair bannister.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chad. Whatever it is, it's very ornate and special! smile

Ginnie Hart: Exactly what I said, Martin. grin Thanks.
Very well done Ginnie, it sounds as though you had a great evening.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. It actually was a 2:15 concert and afterwards lent to a nice dinner out before heading home. Very nice!

We have tickets for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra's one of these days.

What a way to emphasize red carpet treatment. May yours also be a glide upstairs.
Ginnie Hart: Wow, Louis. Really? But I assume you're not talking about in Amsterdam! It would be worth meeting you there. (sigh) Thanks for your comment.
Nice treatment, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Frank.
Wow, this is majestic Ginnie! Well done indeed.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. Merci.
Good colour picking, Ginnie - I keep on meaning to try that but never seem to have the right image!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Tom. As you know by now, I do it whenever I can get away with it. smile

Striking elegance, Ginnie. smile

Yesterday we were in a garage with our car because oil has been disappearing from it mysteriously since autumn and I saw there the same car which we have in dark blue, they had it in red painting. The combination of the red painted metal and black plastic parts made similar impression like your photo just the other way round as there was more red and less black. smile
Ginnie Hart: Oh how fun, Petra, to make that comparison. Thanks for the smile. And I do hope your car will be okay?
