Beautiful shot Ginny! The building looks so grand and the texture of the photo is very interesting. smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Frances. I was still playing around, as you see. smile
So love the aged look of this! Makes me think it should be hanging in a museum!
Ginnie Hart: I don't know about the "hanging in a museum" part, Robin, but I did want to make it different. HA! Thanks.
Looks like an old postcard!! Great job Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, that's what it reminded me off, Elizabeth. Thanks for putting your finger on it. smile

This is a fabulous shot. It was a beautiful day.
55 Nachten Wachten (Nights to wait) is a play on words with the Nacht Wacht (Night Watch) The Museum will reopen on April 14, after 10 year renovation, and the Nacht Wacht will get a great spot again.
Our pictures today are total coincidental. Mine was taken last year..
Ginnie Hart: I love that you have Rembrandt up...who would have guessed we'd do that "by accident." HA! One of these days we'll have to go to the Rijksmuseum together. I'd like that...especially to see that HUMONGOUS Night Watch again.
Savage twiddles ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes we just can't help it, Richard, right? smile

What an impressive building -and now in the sun! Funny treatment!
Ginnie Hart: It's one of Amsterdam's crown jewels, of course, Philine. Now I want to go back...inside! Bedankt.
You have had a right old twiddle here Ginnie. I like the end result
Ginnie Hart: We're quite a pair, Bill, aren't we! HA! Thanks. smile

What strikes me here is the colour effect, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: I couldn't put my finger on it, Lisl, till someone mentioned the old-postcard look. Bingo. Thanks.

I like this building Ginnie and you have certainly put it through the wringer.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Remember, Chad, that's it's just been through 10 years of renovation. grin

This is the back side, direction of the Vondelpark? Great result with your conversion
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Louis, from the viewpoint of the Concertgebouw where we just saw Mozart's Requiem last Sunday. I love the feeling of this place. It's so open and full of life. smile Thank you.

So nice mood
Great details and street scenes
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Helys.
Great timing, Ginnie, to catch the boy controlling the ball. Looks like you had a lot of fun twiddling with this one. Excellent!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Beverly, and, yes, this was fun. You know me. smile
A very well processed shot Ginnie, I'm not even going to try and guess what you done. I once sang Mozart's Requiem many many years ago, a fine work.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. Usually I can't even tell what I did. HA! I sang Mozart's Requiem back in 1971 in South Carolina's Columbia Choral Society. I'll never forget it.

Making the most of good weather, and it looks like you have been having fun too Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes and yes, Anne. smile Thanks.
I like the texture Ginnie, it's like an artists work! smile
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Martin.
nice training Ginnie, we missed good old days of Dutch soccer grin

All looks and sounds very traditional smile
Ginnie Hart: Yes, John. smile
Mmm - trifle over the top with the treatment, I think, Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: So the old postcard look doesn't sit well with you, Tom? HA! Be glad I don't do that all the time then, right?! smile
Excellent image treatment Ginnie! Well done.
Ginnie Hart: Many thanks, Richard.
This is so cool!
Like an old postcard. smile
Ginnie Hart: Very old-timey, LC, indeed. smile
Looks like a splendid location Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Lots of space for several soccer games, Fred. smile
The processing works well with this subject, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
It is the best of both worlds Ginnie. My son is a big soccer fanatic, even though he was raised on baseball and American football!
Ginnie Hart: Well, you know me, Doug...also raised on baseball and American football. I must say, however, that I'm getting accustomed to soccer. Astrid doesn't understand American football after growing up on soccer: "They start and stop all game long; not enough action!" HA! She has a point.
Reminds me of the Washington Mall.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, I guess so, Michael. Nothing like playing around in such places!
That is a very nice treatment.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.
This definitely has your mark on it Ginnie. Great effect
Ginnie Hart: That's sweet, Janet. Thank you.

First glance and I thought this was a painting from the days of yore, but then realised that jeans weren't the trousers of choice in those distant days.

Great effect Ginnie. Hats off!
Ginnie Hart: You're most kind, George. Thank you. smile
Postcard look! Excellent capture! Ginnie. wink
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sue. The old-timey look was definitely what I was aiming for. smile
