This is a superb montage, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ray. You can see why I had problems picking just one image.

I see that chap has a bad dandruff problem Ginnie (top left).
Ginnie Hart: HA! They came back in during the parade and she took off her coat AND her tiara! One of the waitresses wanted me to know that HE was not wearing a costume! smile

This is such fabulous collage. This Grandpa is a regular in this little café. Think about the story his granddaughter can tell in a few years.
Carnaval is a big thing in the South of the Netherlands.
Ginnie Hart: I loved that the lady owner wanted to make sure we knew he was not in a costume! smile I'll never forget this loving relationship. He was so proud of her...and she of him. She wanted to make sure I knew he was her opa! Bedankt, MLMA.
Great collage Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Bill.

a sweet collage of a sweet couple! Yes, here - almost in front of my apertment - is Rosenmontag with a big, long parade and much music - sorry, I am no fan of these amusements, but I like your carnaval pics very much.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid isn't a big fan of carnaval either, Philine. It's new for me, of course, since I didn't grow up with it. The parade goes by where we live, within 2 blocks, so it's real easy to go out, watch it for a few minutes, and then go back inside. I particularly love the children, who remind me of our American kids at Halloween.
Good selection of pictures shot!
Nice day Ginnie,Roland
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Roland.

Good thing she came along since your Queen abdicated!

;-)

A delightful collage of a sweet spirit.
Ginnie Hart: HA That's a good one, Ruth. I never even thought of that. grin This actually reminded me a bit of John when his girls were little.

Little princesses - oops, I mean granddaughters - and their grandfathers. There is typically something very special about that relationship; seems to be universal. Sweet collage, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: So very true, Sue. They both were so proud of each other and seemed thrilled to have their pictures taken! I'm planning to print this collage for him since he's a regular at that café and I'll know how to find him. smile Thanks.
Sweet Ginnie! A lovely collage smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

There are many carnivals in Holland, but they are mostly goodhearted fairy type stuff. Even when they go collect at the doors of the neighbours. I guess Halloween will always have the aura of dark magic about it, for me. Not that a kid in a dracula outfit can be dangerous - most of the time smile

This little girl is very photogenic.
Ginnie Hart: Halloween in America has very much that faity feel, Louis, with the younger kids. I'll show an image on Friday of a little devil...who is adorable! HA! So fun. Thanks.

What fun!! I'm somehow drawn to 'Grandpa' and his long blonde hair and beard. Lucky little girl!
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Marcie. The lady of the café wanted to make sure we knew the g'pa was NOT in costume. HA! He reminds me a bit of one of my brothers, actually. smile
Lucky little girl to have such a loving & doting grandfather. They are making memories together that they both will treasure. It's so funny that the lady owner wanted to assure you that grandfather was not in costume. I'm guessing that not too many of her customers have the look that he is sporting. Love how positive and heartwarming your collages are, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Beverly! I have a feeling the customers are the full range of spectrum, and that maybe the lady, knowing I'm American, wanted ME to know? Apparently he is quite the regular there, sitting at the bar. It happens to be one of our favorite cafés, to be honest. I love that there's no smoking and it's bright. smile
What a delightful collection of photos Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
A good excuse to get the tiaras out. Lovely collage Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! As if we need an excuse, Janet, right?! grin

Lovely series Ginnie, certainly no shrinking violet, she love the camera - and the camera loves her.
Ginnie Hart: The camera couldn't resist...and g'pa said YES. Lucky me. smile Thanks, George.
A princess, the same as my granddaughter was at that age. What sweet portraits!
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Mary. I'm sure you have your own princess in many such guises! smile
Such a cute and lovely collage Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard. Merci.
Quite the little queen!
Ginnie Hart: She knows what she wants to be when she grows up, Tom. smile

I suspect that the little girl was expecting some magic. I hope she was not disappointed.
Ginnie Hart: Don't you wonder what these small kids are thinking when something like carnaval happens, Alan! Indeed.
