OMG - my sheep-herding dog would have an absolute field day. Love..love..love this scene and image!
Ginnie Hart: The sheep all over the Netherlands would surely LOVE your dog, Marcie! smile Thanks.
You KNOW I just adore this capture!!!!!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Robin, I know you! smile Thanks.

They are talking about you, Ginnie, and I feel they are being a bit harsh...
Ginnie Hart: HA! Why does that make me laugh, Ray!?! grin
Uitstekend! De titel van de foto is erg gepast. smile
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Reinhardt. BTW, I'm an American who lives in the Netherlands and know some Dutch...but not as much as I wish. HA!
I love how they've all lined up for you!!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Elizabeth, they started out way back by those trees on the middle-left and by the time I was out of the car by the fence, they had come to meet me. At that moment, nothing could have thrilled me more. smile

smile I am so glad that you were able to take this picture....
After 'I came into the picture' they 'flew' to the other part of the field......sad
Amazing shot, there is something about 'sheeps' grin....
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, MLMA. We were all doing just fine till you came! grin Maybe it was your red jacket? It really was funny, now that I think back on it. HA!
It's nice to see them in their finest woolen sweaters Ginnie... i hope that you have fun playing with Astrid in the snow this week....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: I just LOVE sheep, Peter! I bet you can tell. smile And yes, Astrid will be careful as she drives to work this week on early shift...snow and black ice!
Same difference, I guess. They made a nice composition on their accord.
Ginnie Hart: They did tickle me, Michael! Thanks.

Hungry, perhaps, Ginnie? They thought you were a tasy morsel!
Ginnie Hart: Sheep seem to be so curious everywhere we go, Lisl. Don't know if I'd be tasty enough for them, however. smile

Oh, the sheep are enjoying the golden wintersun and they themselves have become golden sheep. Yes, here is real, deepest winter, too, we are almost sinking into the snow, and the snow heaps along the streets (I have to sweep away in front of our house as you know) are getting higher and higher. Fine that Astid has taken a break! Enjoy your day, but be careful!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid has early shift this week, Philine, and is mindful of black ice in particular. She also has several errands this week, so is "taking care of herself." I'll be the one enjoying all the new snow! Bedankt.
posing for a shot and then back to work!!! smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love it. Grazie, Fabrizio.

Oh, sorry, I thought Astrid had taken a break from work - oh, yes, she will be very careful, here all the the car drivers must have winter tyres, but my brother prefers today to stay at home because of the icy streets which are not gritted and cleaned of snow.
Ginnie Hart: No break, Philine. Astrid is indeed at work and is very grateful for her winter tires! She left early for work this morning, right after 6, to make sure she made it in time...which she did, with half an hour to spare!
They're asking you for some hay Ginnie!! A great capture.
Ginnie Hart: HA! They did seem to be begging for something, Sally. smile Thanks.
''Baaa ... Look at that stupid person standing in the freezing cold looking at us ... Why don't she get a life.''
Ginnie Hart: I know, Richard. Surely there are more interesting things to do than this! smile

Yeah, you´re back♥ welcomesmile

Nice pic, love them all (yummi)
Ginnie Hart: Our Shutterchance site had some big problems last week, Luiza, if that's what you're referring to. Thanks for returning!
Lovely light Ginnie. Here the skies are leaden and grey so the snow just looks dirty!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill. It actually was a delightful day for us on Saturday...a good time to go out in the polder again, where we love to be! We went to our favorite pannenkoeken restaurant and actually thought about what it will be like when we take you and Angie there in June! There just won't be any snow, that's all. smile

Ginnie Hart: That's right, Roland. And they make such good models! smile Thanks.
Haha. Looks like a wedding photo Ginnie. Wonderful capture
Ginnie Hart: Oh, how funny, Janet. You just gave me a big smile! smile

A excellent capture Ginnie with beautiful light. Love how they posed for you except for the camera shy one at the back.
Ginnie Hart: They were so cute, Laurette! Actually, there are 2 in the back because there were 8 altogether. Some just didn't have their act together yet. smile

Which one are you fattening for the pot?

PS. the Dutch are funny this way. They have a piece of land, then have some sheep running on it (or staring like these lot). In the end they do nothing with the sheep - don't even know how nice a leg-of-lamb can be. I know of various such cases.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure the Dutch have a lot to tell us about their sheep, Louis. Astrid continually tells me they are not for eating but for their wool! And here I thought I was gonna have a lot of lamb to eat! Not so at all!

An absolutely fantastic photo! The light, the snow, the "brethren" and the composition. Wow!
Ginnie Hart: I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the sheep here, Ruth. I never tire of them! I had forgotten about the "brethren" part till you mentioned it. Dad would get a chuckle out of that, wouldn't he! smile

Baa, Baa, Black Sheep comes to mind! I ADORE THIS IMAGE! And, yes...I shouted that. Did you hear me?
Ginnie Hart: HA! grin Yes, Sue, I have heard you loud and clear! THANK YOU!
They surely are dressed for the occasion. Looks like they are all wearing a thick woolly scarf.
Ginnie you have to knit some socks for them - shame.
Have a great Monday !!!
Ginnie Hart: The day I can knit socks for them will be the day, Elsabe! HA! But Astrid could do that. She'll get a kick out of thought. smile
Those are very odd ducks, Ginnie... perhaps your lens needs cleaning?
Ginnie Hart: HA! I'm sure it does, Larry! grin

Brilliant! Are they hopeful that you have some food?
Ginnie Hart: I have found sheep to always be quite curious, Anne. I get the impression they have no clue whatsoever about what it is they want! grin
nice light and loved the way they are standing smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Joshi. Sheep are so wonderful, aren't they! smile
Wonderful light and line-up, Ginnie! smile One of the black sheep is a conformist grin
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. Some black sheep try to mind their manners, so to speak. smile
Wonderful! I love this photo.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Sartenada.
I do like this Ginnie, lovely light, and what a bunch of characters.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Brian. They're very hard to resist, aren't they!

Bonjour Ginnie. Superb and great capture with nice framing. Have a lovely day. Amicalement Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Antoine. Merci.
You have sun over there, all we have is perpetual greyness.
What lovely warm coats they wear.
Ginnie Hart: So I have heard, Martin, after all your snow...still grey days. I love when it snows and the sun shines! Thank you.

Beautifully shot Ginnie - but the strangest ducks I ever saw quack-baaa-quack-baaa....
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, George. Sometimes you just have to laugh! smile
Super sheepy landscape, even some sunlight, did you have to sell your soul to the devil?
Ginnie Hart: I keep reading that skies are grey where you live, John. Your snow came over to us. Maybe our sunshine will go over to you????
Really, really love this shot, Ginnie. It is a likey. Would love it as a big poster.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Mary, and sure know how to make my day! Thank you. Let me know if you want a large resolution....

They were evidently waiting for what you were going to either tell or show them, Ginnie. Lovely gathering! smile
Ginnie Hart: They were definitely wondering why I had called the meeting, Petra. grin How fun. Thanks.
Hahahaha... I wonder what they're thinking.
Ginnie Hart: From what I understand, Jacquelyn, sheep don't think. grin But it sure is fun to wonder. grin

Ginnie Hart: You know what they say about if we can't take a joke, Tom! grin
Ewe are so beautiful!
Ha ha... I took some pictures of goats in the snow this weekend!
Ha ha no kidding x
Ginnie Hart: PLEASE, LC, show us your goats...soon! I hope I don't miss them!!!

This is super adorable. When I visited the UK, I made it a point to try to get some shots of sheep. Although, not many of them turned out well .. this is one of my favourite blog pictures of yours, for sure!
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Emily. It is a fun one, isn't it. smile Thanks.
hmmmm ... i think they're up to something
Ginnie Hart: They're wondering why I called the meeting, Dennis. HA! smile
As it happens, I am sheep sitting this week. I will have to get some shots of the little blighters.
Ginnie Hart: I declare, Michael: sheep sitting. That's a first for me. PLEASE make sure you get some shots for us!!!

Wonderful
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Adrian.
did you frame a copy for this woolly family? there's even a black sheep of the family.
Ginnie Hart: HA! No, Ayush. I don't usually print any of my images...but this would be one I probably would, if I did. smile Thank you kindly. I have a feeling every family has a black sheep?
grinning, grinning, grinningsmile
thanks for the happy giggle,
Jennifer
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're more than welcome, Jennifer. I simply canNOT resist sheep. smile
