Did Someone Say SNOW?

Yup.  We finally got some more!

As Astrid would say, More Dutch you cannot get.

Out in the polder near us in the Netherlands, early December.

Stunning picture!! Wish I was there!
Ginnie Hart: We actually got about 4 inches of snow this time, Reinhardt...more than this dusting. As I understand it, it's really hot in Australia right now, so I can just imagine how good this would feel! Thanks.
Lovely shot, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Elizabeth.
A delightful shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Sally.

Ginnie Hart: I love the snow, Antoine. Winter is not winter to me without snow! Merci.
Oh the beautiful sun is up there somewhere, it makes such a difference even on a cold day.
Ginnie Hart: Today is about 22F here where we live, Martin...the coldest day thus far this winter. The 4 inches of snow we just got make it winter's heaven for me! smile

a fine, atmospheric photo! Yesd, we have got loads of snow yesterday- and more snow will be expected! I am enjoying it while looking from my balcony, and the birds are gathering around the food. Een goede dag toegewenst!
Ginnie Hart: Winter is not winter without snow, Philine, so I am in heaven right now. We have about 4 inches on the ground right now with more expected over the weekend! YAY.
About as much as we got! The forecast here for Friday is blizzards!!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says more is on the way for us, too, over the weekend. I love it! smile Stay warm.

Did you get enough to satisfy your craving for snow, Ginnie? Or do you want more?
Ginnie Hart: HA! 4 inches is better than the dusting in this image from early December. I don't mind if we get more but I'll also be satisfied if this is all we get because it is a LOT for this part of Holland. Astrid is not happy with any snow, however, because it means the ice won't freeze well for skating. sad

Excellent picture of this winter scene. Some reflection caught in the freezing water.
Ginnie Hart: I hope it never becomes ho-hum for me, Louis! Thanks.
This is about as much snow as I could ever want to see to be honest Ginnie, but even this small amount has given you a great photo opportunity.
Ginnie Hart: This was in early December when that's all the snow we got, Brian. This week we now have about 4 inches with maybe more to come over the weekend. I'm like a little kid again. smile
Beautiful light and composition Ginnie! We've had a little snow, but it didn't settle, I'm waiting for a good covering! smile
Ginnie Hart: As I just told Brian, this was in early December when that's all the snow we got, Martin, and it melted the next day. This week we now have about 4 inches with maybe more to come over the weekend. I'm like a little kid again.

Snow coming for us at the weekend, hope to get out with my new toy then Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: We'll supposed to get some more then, too, Mick, adding to the 4 inches we already have. Astrid is hoping she can skate! It's certainly cold enough! Enjoy your new toy!

The combination of blue, white and yellow shines brightly from the photo, Ginnie. But I especially like the water, its dramatic deep blue and blurred reflection. Is it ice and snow on its surface?
Ginnie Hart: The late afternoon sun puts on quite a show in the polder, Petra, for sure. And yes, that is a thin layer of ice on the water with little clumps of fallen snow. smile
And more on the way I thinksmile
Ginnie Hart: Or so they say, John! I'm like a little kid in anticipation. smile
A delightful winter scene Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Richard. I thought so, too. smile Merci.
We got a bit of snow two days ago.
But it was too light... sad

Global warming, G!
Get your bikini out. ;o)
Ginnie Hart: They say more snow is coming this weekend, which I hope is true, LC. No bikini for me, however! grin
Just a sprinkling, eh?
Ginnie Hart: This was in early December when that's all the snow we got, Tom, and it melted the next day. This week we now have about 4 inches with maybe more to come over the weekend. I'm like a little kid again.
Just enough to be able to use the word... snow. Nice reflections on the snow too.
Ginnie Hart: This was in early December when that's all the snow we got, Jacquelyn, and it melted the next day. This week we now have about 4 inches with maybe more to come over the weekend. I'm like a little kid again. smile Thanks.

It has been very snowish here too, and really really cold. This is beautiful!
Ginnie Hart: Snow and cold seem to go together so well, Helen. If you can add the sun, even better! smile
snow ????? wish we had some! that's a nice scene !
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Dennis, and we got more (4 inches) this week, with hopefully more to come this weekend. smile

A lovely picture - we had a brief flurry of snow on Monday, but it's all gone now
Ginnie Hart: You must have sent that snow to us, Anne, all 4 inches. Astrid says we're supposed to get more over the weekend. I hope so. smile
Nice light; not today's snow then!?
Ginnie Hart: No, this was early Decdember's dusting, Wim. Earlier this week we got 4 inches...and supposedly more is coming this weekend. YAY.
We are due for some snow tonight... of course, here in North Carolina, forecasting snow is notoriously uncertain...
Ginnie Hart: Supposedly we'll get more snow over the weekend, Larry, adding to the 4 inches we got earlier this week. I love it. smile
