Baaaaaah Humbug

The first week of the new year is almost history.

Have a nice, lazy weekend.

(out in the Dutch polder near us, from early December)

(It was very hard to choose between the white background or the black so I had Astrid pick.)

Now that weather looks very bleak
Ginnie Hart: Just what the sheep ordered, I think, Adrian! smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Ayush. I hope we get some more snow before the season is over!

You didn't say you had snow at last, Ginnie - or did I miss it?
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Lisl, this is the snow we had in early December. I really hope it comes back!

I still think this gives the best feeling for the weather we had early December.
Great shot, love the grey tones. I love that back road, there is always something to see.
Friday..... after this weekend we are in the old rhythm again wink.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for picking the background for this. I trust your artistic eye! smile You know I LOVE your polder. It's so soulful to me! Bedankt.

The black sheep of the family - Astrid is right
Ginnie Hart: Astrid is almost always right, Chris. I love it when she helps me make decisions. grin Thanks.
Bonjour Ginnie. Superb photo with excellent framing. Nice composiition and choice. Great work Ginnie. Have a lovely day. Amicalement Antoine.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Angevine. Merci.
awwwww haha, well i think farm animals prolly don't like Christmas much smile remember the movie 'Babe' about the pig that thinks he's a sheep dog? lol i love that movie, and the duck, at Christmas, 'CHRISTMAS MEANS CARNAGE!!!!' anyway, your picture made me smile smile and i prefer white backgrounds, they are so clean looking
Ginnie Hart: You make me laugh, Elaine. HA! Well, sheep always make me laugh! I love seeing them wherever we go here in the Netherlands. So glad Astrid helped me pick the right background for you. smile

I am always amazed at how animals cope with the cold Ginnie, despite their coats.
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Chad. But I bet they eat it up! smile
I think you found a new pal on the polder. I am sending you snow wishes. I am willing to share.
Ginnie Hart: We would love to see some more snow, Mary, even if but a dusting like this from early December. Feel free to send us some of yours! Thanks. And Happy Birthday, again.
I switched to the black background - too much screen glare from the white smile The Mac screen is blinding!
Ginnie Hart: Actually, my personal preference is also the black, Tom, so we're on the same page. Thanks.

Love the little black sheep...in and among the snowy texture. Well seen...and happy weekend to you too!!!
Ginnie Hart: That littke black sheep was there all by his lonesome and totally adorable. I don't think he actually minded being alone. Thanks, Marcie.

With the colours very starkly black and white, I agree that any of the two backgrounds will fit.

Allover a very good picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. So you're saying I could have gone with my choice after all. grin
Snow already; looks quite isolated, over there. Happy New Year Ginnie and all the best for the weekend! smile
Ginnie Hart: Well, we HAD snow back in early December, Martin. I'd love for some more! Thanks and welcome back. Happy New Year.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, JP.
Love it Ginnie. I wonder what goes on in their heads when faced with winter wonderlands. Have a great weekend
Ginnie Hart: We hear so much about sheep being dumb but my experience is that they're very curious. This one was just adorable, watching our every move. smile Thanks, Janet.

I like both backgrounds but each gives the photo a very different look. Very nice!
Ginnie Hart: Very politically correct, Helen. grin I think I prefer the black but went with Astrid's enthusiastic white. smile

B&W seems to suit this very well. You're right; we are not into Epiphany yet it already seems so long ago.

Great image Ginnie but the black background for me.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Brian. The black background for me, too. smile
Excellent BW processing Ginnie, works very well with this.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
In the bleak mid-winter.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, John, from early December. A bit warmer now, but I'd love for it all to come back!
I like new color of your photoblog Ginnie. Have a serene w-e, with or without snow
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. We can change it back and forth between black and white. I usually choose black but this time went for the white. Merci.

...and a nice, lazy weekend to you and Astrid.

BTW I don't think that sheepy looks too happy - maybe you should have taken it home!
Ginnie Hart: That sheepy followed our every move, George. Don't you wonder what it was thinking?! Thank you.
I wish!!! Last day of the big January book sale tomorrow and Ange and I are already knackered! Then on Sunday we have to clear it all out of the shop and back to the various garages. The good news is so far we have already made nearly £700
Ginnie Hart: It really looks like you have your weekend cut out for you, Bill. I really like your good news thus far. Totally worth the effort, I hope!
A excellent photo! happy new year to you!
Ginnie Hart: It's good to see you again, Roland. Thank you and Happy New Year.
I forgot to mention...nice picture grin
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're a sweetheart. Thanks, Bill. smile
I can feel the cold, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I can, too, Graeme, and wish it would all come back!

There's a lot to be said for 'humbug'
I think Astrid picked well ;-)
Ginnie Hart: HA! I just love the word, Geoff. grin And yes, Astrid usually knows what she's talking about.
The black sheep of the family.
He he... that's me x
I prefer pink. Can you make it pink as gay? ;o) x
Ginnie Hart: Now you're talking, LC. I think I need to have a conversation with you! grin
This works quite well!
Blacky looks a little worried about you!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. Blacky seemed totally non-plusswed but most curious! smile I love sheep. HAHA.

It looks perfect against the white background. It adds to the frosty feel of the image.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your vote of confidence, Cherry. smile
thansk for sharing snow Ginnie dear, as we are obviously expecting it to fall, but no, rain instead !

Let me wish, BTW, a very coll, happy, pecaful, lovely new year 2013.
Ginnie Hart: I just hope we get some more snow, Flo, since this was from a month ago. For me it's not really winter without snow! Too much rain is not what we bargained for. Happy New Year to you, too!
Wonderful in B&W Ginnie!
Have a great weekend.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Don't jump! That would be my title ...
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good one, Dennis. grin
Oooo, I like the snow dappled landscape, and the way the sheep stands out in it. What baaaaaaathers me the most is how fast time flies... first week of 2013 is moving past at light speed>>>>>>>>>>>>!
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Doug. I know. The older I get the faster it seems to fly!!!
I am glad I am not a sheep. A fine white photo.
Ginnie Hart: I am, too, Wim, but I sure enjoy watching them. smile Bedankt.
