This is great!

You live in a wonderful, alien environment, Ginnie.

Even riding in the winter!
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Rob. For some it's their only mode of transportation all year 'round!
I know the feeling.
Ginnie Hart: I think most of us do, Michael. Back to the salt mines, as we always used to say. smile

Great title and yes, today we carry on again.
Fabulous shot and I will shock some people by telling, this is a two way road.... an adventure to drive grin....
Ginnie Hart: At least it's a short week, MLMA. I just wish you could have had the entire week off...last week, too! smile

I LOVE these narrow roads. Thwey're part of the beauty and wonder of the polder for me! Bedankt.

Looks really chilly! I like the mist.
Ginnie Hart: This is what winter is supposed to look like here, Helen. Right now it's not cold enough for snow. This was from almost a month ago.

And it's good for life to get back to normal, Ginnie. Some even breathe a sigh of relief!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Lisl, I suppose you're right. Life always needs to go on as usual! Thank you.

Yes, I breathe of sigh of relief once 2nd Jan comes and things return to normal. Well, from Monday when I return to work... smile Now this looks to be my idea of a perfect winter's day. I like the ice on the polder; best not to fall off the bike on to that.
Ginnie Hart: Enjoy your last few days of vacation, Alan, before you return to normal. And let's hope winter will return soon to give us a few more days like this! Thanks.
heureusement qu'il y a du soleil pour réchauffer un peu,j'adore cette perspective, bonne année très chère
Ginnie Hart: The sunlight makes even the coldest of days delightful, Angevine, doesn't it! Merci.

Thank good ness it does too Ginnie, it would drive me insane if it went on any longer. Our house is bank to normal once more at it is bliss. Great photo by the way.
Ginnie Hart: I love that holidays never last too long, Chad, because we all do need the normalcy, I think. HA! Thanks.
This is a quiet scene. You have snow again? Our weather is cloudy and miserable, but dry at the moment.
Ginnie Hart: No, Sheila, this is from almost a month ago! We pretty much track your own weather there. The sun is shining here right now, which is good. I know you need to really dry out there, so I wish it for you. Happy New Year.
You do have some snow Ginnie, not much but some. Love the purse!
Ginnie Hart: This was actually from almost a month ago, Mary. No snow now but I do hope some more will come?! And yes, I love the purse, too. smile Thanks.

a wonderful, atmospheric winter image - your toning is superbe. Tomorrow I'll travel to Berlin - a bit out of normalcy I assume, but surely full of inspirations.
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Philine. Enjoy your time in Berlin, as I know you will. I have a few memories from years ago, but would love to go back and see more.

My kind of shot Ginnie ... lovely
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
Are you going to get a Gopro camera for the byke, this year? You should, it's fun!
Ginnie Hart: No, Juan Carlos. I doubt that I'll get anything new in the camera department this year. I'm still trying to figure out what I have. HA!

Le froid s'installe ... Que 2013 t'apportes tout ce que tu désires
JP
Ginnie Hart: I do hope it all comes back, JP. We need the cold for winter...to kill all the bugs. smile
A nice shot, Ginnie, in some ways it's nice to return to normality and routine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Frank, and I do know what you mean! It's important even for us who are retired! smile
What beautiful winter light !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marie. Merci.

Ginnie Hart: The polder is a great place for bike riding, Elaine. You'd love to ride your bike there! Thanks.
Great POV and capture of light Ginnie combining for an excellent composition Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, as always, kind sir!
What an opening shot for 2013 Ginnie, oh how I love to stroll along there at any time of the year, how on earth is it a two way road though?
Ginnie Hart: You would love the Dutch polder, Brian. It's so soulful and therapeutic! And those roads...they somehow all manage quite well. smile
A lovely wintry scene, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Tom.
Yes I wonder if we will get more snow this winter.
Ginnie Hart: This was just once and almost a month ago. Please tell me we will get more???!!!

Lovely mood shot! Also tack sharp while moving!!
Ginnie Hart: I was the passenger in the front seat of the car, Bonnie, so I was the lucky one. smile Thanks.
You have snow!
Ginnie Hart: Well, we DID, Bill, almost a month ago. The next time we get it, you'll probably get it also, so stay tuned. smile
That's more my pace of life, lovely shot.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Martin. So soulful and therapeutic! Thanks.
A nice shot Ginnie. I like it. Have a lovely evening. Amicalement Antoine.

Is the party over yet? ;o)
Come on, let's have another pint, shall we?

Is the polder colder? Sorry, I could not resist... smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! You're a poet and you know it! Good one, Larry. grin
Nothing like a nice brisk winter ride to get life back to normal.
Nicely shot, Ginnie. You sure got some beautiful light coming in.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael, and YES. Nothing like a brisk winter ride.
It's nice to see some snow for the new year Ginnie... i love the shadows and the depth in this shot...petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Too bad this was from early December, Peter, and not from the new year. I do hope we get some more! Thanks.
That is so true Ginnie. Gorgeous picture of the polder
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Janet. I do love the polder!!!

Super pour faire du vélo chez toi, chez moi c'est trop pentue smile Splendide lumière et excellent cadrage. Bonne soirée Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: It does help that the polder is flat, Tede. grin Merci.
So true. Even when you've just flown over a giant speed pump - normalcy returns eventually. Right? smile
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Elizabeth! We all have to believe we'll be just fine after the speed bumps we encoumnter. I'm going through one right now and know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, thankfully.
