It was a fabulous day with the best thinkable weather.
Wonderful picture, wonderful POV, nice and crisp. Robin is right, a beauty of a day.
TGIF..... smile
Ginnie Hart: In every way, MLMA, you nailed it. I'll never forget it. Bedankt.
That's a sunnier day than most.
Ginnie Hart: To be hones, Michael, you're right! Especially in the Netherlands!
You are making me sooooo jealous showing me all of these beautiful vessels Ginnie... what a fantastic composition... with Astrid and Robin leading the way....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Peter. You would have a heyday in Holland with enough boats for every past, present and future Friday! grin

I'm sure this is typically Dutch Ginnie: I know the person in the red coat is just that!
Ginnie Hart: More Dutch you cannot get, Chris, on both counts. I feel so lucky. smile
I would love to have a weekend like that walking along the water looking at the beautiful boats but I fear cold weather is in the forecast. Maybe snow.
Ginnie Hart: Please send some of your snow to us, Michael. I do hope we get some this year! In the meantime, we'll keep looking for more boat scenes to keep you warm/cheery. smile
j'aime beaucoup ce bateau au premier plan et les couleurs du quai avec l'architecture
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Angevine. The Hoorn harbor is exceptional. Merci.

A beautiful scene; I love all the colours in this. The nearest boat looks very traditional - until you get up the mast then there is all the satnav and weather equipment - very sensible.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Alan. The old and the new somehow seem easily juxtaposed in these quaint Dutch towns!

did you ask her to wear a red coat ? smile It is a fine boat Friday picture Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! Astrid has several red coats, which is one of the reasons why I love her, Bill. grin Thank you kindly.

There are some new (or renovated) buildings since I have last been there. To the left at the back there is a church that has been converted to a department store (in the 1970's). At the time it was quite something.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right, Louis. Those building straight ahead on the horizon looked fairly new. It's such a lovely harbor town. Thank you.

Ginnie Hart: You'd love the Netherlands, JP, if you ever have the chance to visit it! Merci.
I love that row of houses as a backdrop Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Fred. I have a feeling they're the newest part of this harbor town.
A beautiful sun filled scene. Good weekend to you too.
Ginnie Hart: It was a fabulous day, Mary. Thank you.
A beautiful bright shot Ginnie! Reminds me of the weekend and it'll soon be time to get out and enjoy it! smile
Ginnie Hart: We had a great day there, Martin. Let's hope we all have a delightful weekend.
Looking wonderful in the autumn sunshine Ginnie. Have a good weekend too and hope Astrid enjoys her rest
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Janet. Astrid is very good about leaving her work behind when the weekend comes, thankfully! smile

A lovely canal scene - and a happy weekend to Lord and Lady Polder!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, George. It's funny how the Shutterchancers call Astrid Lady Polder. But actually, she's also the Lord (but that may be way to much information!). smile

Hi Ginnie. Superb photo with an excellent framing. Texture and colors are very nice. Great work. I like it. Have a lovely afternoon Ginnie. Amicalement Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: As always, Antoine, Thank You. Merci.
Even the newer buildings in the distance still look very Dutch. Bill told me this morning (Skype) that you are having the pleasure of a visit from he and Angie next year, that will be very nice for all of you.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian...Bill and Ange are already on our calendar for a visit. Chris and Chad were supposed to be first but will be coming later in the fall! We can hardly wait!

Beautiful scenery shining with bright colours, Ginnie.

No people except for Robin and Astrid can be seen, was the place so quiet?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Petra. And yes, we were there on a Saturday morning when everything wasn't quite yet awake, especially at that end of town. But when we turned back the other way, we found things a bit more lively. smile
Wonderful, rich colors on a fine day... Holland is so picturesque...
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Larry. You'd love it here! smile
Indeed Astrid in the offing!! A fine image Ginnie!
The houses in the background are well-designed.
Ginnie Hart: Astrid somehow brightens everythiung up, Wim, doesn't she! smile Bedankt.
Beautiful colored city and composition. I like also reflections in the water
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Marie. Merci.
