Take your pick for a boat today eh Ginnie? Have a fun weekend.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Chad. You could definitely take your pick for €50,000 +/-.

Ginnie Hart: You'd have a heyday there, Peter. smile Thanks.

Gorinchem at its best, sun/clouds/almost rain/not too cold/something to see/something to eat......
Wonderful picture, that gull came by in the right moment. The reflections are just beautiful. That is what I always like the most. Reflections.
Ginnie Hart: And this is just ONE of the reasons why I love it here so much!!! smile Bedankt, MLMA.
j'aime beaucoup l'horizon avec ce changement au ciel
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Angevine. I love the Dutch skies!

Oh, this looks so typically Dutch! And I love the dramatic sky which is reflected in the gracht! This must have been a vibrant, turbulent day, and you both were short of eyes!
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Philine. You couldn;t have said it better. This is MY kind of day and sky and country!!! smile
I can't afford a boat so I'll just buy a couple of fleas.... Lovely lighting on this Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! You'd love strolling along the canal to check out all the wares. We always go early to snap up the used DVDs we want. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Antoine. Merci.
Wow! I need to move to Holland now!
Gorinchem is so lovely.
Ginnie Hart: You would LOVE our city, LC. Seriously. smile
Your town looks like a hive of activity Ginny. Love this shot as it reminds me of my visit back in April
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Janet. There's something special going on almost every weekend...at least every month! smile Thanks and good to see you back!
This wins the prize, Ginnie. An outstanding shot that makes me 'short of eyes'.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. I am almost always short of eyes here where we live! smile
Beautiful Ginnie the light is wonderful! I like your composition smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!

What a gorgeous scene! I've heard of car auctions before..but never boat ones. But then again - why not!?? What fun!
Ginnie Hart: It happens every year in September, Marcie. Hard to believe there can be that many boats year after year but they actually come from all over. We're the lucky ones who get to see it happen! Thank you.

What a bold looking sky. The colours in this photo are so vibrant.

You should post some of the photos from the flea market. I bet it's very busy!
Ginnie Hart: This sky is very typical of the Netherlands, Emily, which is one of the reasons I love it here so much! And yes, the flea martket (in the right of the image) is loads of fun. We always get there early to but used DVDs we want for our collection. smile

Oohhh.. what a good idea; loads of spectators and let's hope plenty of buyers. We have an annual Boat Jumble at Beaulieu which is always well attended.
Ginnie Hart: I would love to find out how many boats are sold that day, Alan. Hmmm. That would be a fun statistic. You'd love it here. smile
This is a feast for the eyes, Ginnie. The vibrant rich colours are stunning. By shooting from this vantage point you've given the viewer a front-row seat in which to take in and enjoy the whole scene.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Beverly. You'd be in heaven in a place like this. I still pinch myself!
Glorious mix of colours, and I would love to rove through all those stalls on the canal bank, are they all selling boat stuff, or are there other things for sale as well?
Ginnie Hart: Lots of boat stuff, Brian, but loads of other stuff as well...books, DVDs, bottles, clothes, toys...almost everything bu the kitchen sink! smile We always get there early to snatch the used DVDs we want to add to our collection, usually for €1 each!
Sounds like a fabulous place to love .. but the tourist overload might get me down.
Ginnie Hart: It's not huge on tourist overload, Richard...just the locals coming out to snatch a good buy. Astrid and I always go early to get used DVDs we want to add to our collection. And then we leave...! smile
Gorgeous lighting, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Wow! Even though we didn't get to explore your town, seeing this capture makes me feel as if I'm there! Just WOW!
Ginnie Hart: You'll just have to come back, Robin, to see all the things you missed. It's a greqat city center!!! smile
The bird in flight is a nice little thing. That an the gathering clouds.
Ginnie Hart: This is so Dutch, Michael, and is one of the best things I love about the Netherlands. Thanks.
A very nice place indeed Ginnie, peaceful. An invitation for a walk with friends.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Flo, and exactly! smile Merci.
Looks like the sunshine has brought plenty people out Ginnie, though possibly not for long - lovely capture.
Ginnie Hart: The sklies were lowering all day, Fred, but without a drop of rain. So typically Dutch! smile Thanks.

Ginnie Hart: HA! Good choice, Larry! smile
Muy guapa, la luz maravillosa, las nubes, los reflejos de las casas en el agua, los árboles, hasta la gaviota "Espíritu Santo".
Salud
Ginnie Hart: Awww. I like that, the Holy Spirit gull/dove. What a wonderful thought. Thank you, Psilicosis, for stopping by and commenting here.
Ha! I toyed with a picture of boats for sale for Friday. Not as good as this super shot, though.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhh, please show it one day, Graeme. That will be fun for us all to find boats for sale. smile
It looks especially good with those great clouds as a backdrop.
Ginnie Hart: This is so very Dutch, Michael. Thank you.

I love how the dramatic autumnal weather emphasises the serenity of the canal.
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, George. I have a feeling we have similar "moods" here to yours there! Thanks.
A quintessential Dutch scene beautifully captured.
Ginnie Hart: Definitely quintessential Dutch, David. Thank you.
