A Mid-Week Proost/Cheers

From the Wijnhandel van Ouwerkerk wine business in Arkel, Netherlands, since 1860.

A delicious looking shot. That is a great looking old box.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Michael. I have a feeling that box has been there since 1860! smile

I admire the way that you go out and hunt down scenes like this to capture Ginnie.... and you do them so well...petersmile
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Peter. Thank you. We visited this wine business when Robin was with us because it's really also a museum. It's an incredible place.

Where do you find your original subjects, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: HA! Just like you, Lisl, while out-n-about. smile Actually, in this case, we took Robin to see this wijn business that is also like a museum. It's HUGE and has room after room, cubby hole after cubby hole. This was in the entryway on an old bike.
A nice little bits and doings picture Ginnie...which you know I love!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill, and me, too. So fun when you find them. smile

Have I seen this still life many times. I came into this shop a few times a year to get some 'goodies'. Absolute fabulous picture. Great light and tones.
Ginnie Hart: The thing that still amazes me is that you never told me about this place till just a couple months ago. I was in heaven there, short of eyes! I guess some things you're saving till the last??? smile Bedankt, MLMA.
Beautiful climatic photograph. I am greeting
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Zielona. Thank you.
I like the De Kuyper label design very much..is that gin? an excellent image again Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: It's preobably an old Jenever bottle, Juan Carlos. Very Dutch, of course. smile Thanks.
Makes me want to see everything in the shop.
Ginnie Hart: You'd be short of eyes, Mary! It's amazing...and HUGE.
Ha.. isn't it a bit too early for this?
I'm still digesting my breakfast, G. ;o)
Ginnie Hart: HA, indeed. Well, just wait a few hours, then, LC. smile

As always, you have a knack of bringing something special to a still life. You've got good textures in the wooden box especially.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Alan. Let's just say I am really drawn to OLD stuff like this! smile

your photo celebrates the long history of this shop. Did you have a 'jenever' yet?
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Wim. You'd love this place. And YES, I actually am one who enjoys a good Jenever. smile I'd mix it with orange juice at the airport in the Delta lounge when waiting for planes to Atlanta. grin
