Forgive my ignorance, but is there a connection between the bells and the event in question?
Ginnie Hart: HA! Surely you jest, Mike? smile Well, you know, bells and alarm clocks and anything that wakes you up. We were in Amsterdam over the weekend...the city of bikes. Sometimes you jump out of your skin when you hear those bike bells, because you know you almost got plowed over!

A funny photo - at first I thought we are in Münster, but we are in bikerland Nederland, of course - I like your titles!
Ginnie Hart: It could be in Münster, Philine, I'm sure. I love collecting these bells wherever I see them. Bedankt.

Great title and great macro. I love those big bells and they have a great sound.
You can find your bike back easily, with such a bell.
Ginnie Hart: I love the bike bells I see everywhere here in the Netherlands. They're making a great collection. smile Bedankt, MLMA.
hi Ginnie, i just bought a bike, with a girly comfy seat and a basket for the front, and i forgot to ask for a bell lol... these are so cute!! i like your framing smile and i COULD fit my new puppy in a pocket, but she's sooooooo tiny and fragile, i'm very protective and careful with her, i carry her in a hello kitty napsack ... not on my back, on my front lol i love her
Ginnie Hart: One day you'll have to show us your bike, Elaine. And one day you'll have to find a cute girly bell for it. And one day you'll have to take your toy dog for a ride. smile Thanks.

These are such fun...such great colors!! Love that you photographed them!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Marcie. I have started to collect them everywhere I go. smile
booming bike industry, love those sounds...
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Juan Carlos. And they really come in handy! Thanks.
Well, it is good to be awaked up on Mondays as every day in the traffic every day. In Finland bikers use too sparingly bicycle bells. Maybe they think that they will wear out. LOL.

Your photos present very beautiful bells.
Ginnie Hart: We were in Amsterdam over the weekend, Sartenada, and were very glad for all the bikers who used their bells. It amazes me that more pedestrians aren't hurt or killed by bikers everywhere here in the Netherlands! I love all these bells and how colorful they are! smile Thanks.
I like the colours and the DOF ginnie, lovely shot!
Ginnie Hart: Very sweet of you, Elle. Thanks.
That would wake me up! I always had one of these on my bike when I was a kid.
Ginnie Hart: I'm starting to "collect" them, Mary. I find so many different ones here in the land of bikes. smile Thanks.

A fun collection. It was Queen that sang about big bottomed girls on their bicycles.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Louis. Astrid will get a kick outta that because Queen is one of her favoprites. smile
Fantastic abstraction. I am greeting
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Zielona.
I was making the sound, before I read your title grin A colourful shot Ginnie!

(Groan!) Is it really? What happened to Saturday? After many years of not having a bell on my bike, I now have one! I brought it back from Seattle. Now every time I ring it, I can think of happy times.
Ginnie Hart: Oh, how fun, Alan, that you brought back a bell from Seattle. Good for you. I wonder if it has flowers or polka dots? grin
These are some great bells Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Great fun for the bike, Navin. smile Thanks.
Well spotted and captured Ginnie. It wakes up for sure!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. I thought so, too. smile Merci.
You and Astrid can happily ring your bicycle bells outside my door Ginnie but not before 8 o'clock these days!
Ginnie Hart: HA! I promise, Brian. I will not awaken you before 8 a.m. smile

Ginnie Hart: I guess they do look girly-girl, John. smile

A very cheerful capture - got me thinking about those coloured macaroons that have appeared in recent times!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Fred. Now macaroons would be very nice right about now! smile
Can't beat a bike bell ... But you can ring it.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Very true, Richard. smile
Yes - dangerous city for pedestrians, Amsterdam - and not because of the cars!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Tom. Spoken like you know!
My ding-a-ling? grin
Ginnie Hart: You got it, Bill!!! grin

"Als ik twee keer met mijn fietsbel bel, nou dan weet je 't wel, nou dan weet je 't wel..."Have Astrid sing this old song for you! (it may be on youtube)
Ginnie Hart: Oh, how fun, Wim. Astrid just found this YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edjui5p96h8&feature=relmfu
