Brilliant image, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray.
Oh how I'm soooo glad those days of wearing heals and dragging along a briefcase are OVER! YEAH!!! Fab image!
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Robin. Those days have been looooong past! YAY! smile Thanks.
oops...I meant heel! smile
Ginnie Hart: As I often say to Astrid, "I know your English!" grin
The comfortable look suites me just fine these days Ginnie....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Peter. I can't imagine ever going back to "those" days! smile

A fine image Ginnie. I've seen the statue on the link & I have seen Astrid too - she is wonderful. But you know that...
Ginnie Hart: No question which I would pick of the two, Chris!!!!!!!!!!! grin Thanks.

and man to woman - oh, sorry, sorry - now I see Astrid's sportive feet! black to white- that's okay!
Ginnie Hart: Astrid's sportive feet, indeed, Philine. She can stand toe to toe with anyone, including the men! smile

HA smile Great shot, love the processing!!!
I never saw you take that picture.
I am so glad, that I don't have to walk on high heels.
(In my youth going dancing, yes... very high... it is a miracle I never broke my ankles)
Ginnie Hart: I would give almost anything to see you in high heels dancing. HA! I bet you knocked them all out! grin The minute I saw your sneakers next to this statue, I immediately saw the picture! Bedankt.
Contrasting styles of foot wear, the Nikon Strap gives away who the trainers belong to !
Ginnie Hart: She gives herself away all the time, Martin! smile Thanks.
I would pay good money to see you both in high heels dancing at the tower ballroom in Blackpool.
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! I bet you would, Mick. Astrid used to ballroom dance in her day and said she wore high heels because you actually can dance better in them. Even I would have loved to see that! grin

I think that Astrid had just won that race that Tiff showed and was waiting for the rest to finish.
Ginnie Hart: You couldn't be more right, Chad!!! grin I love it.
I see, so Astrid is also a Nikon user. ;o)
I can tell from the camera strap.
I can also see the reflection on the polished marble.
Thank god, Astrid was not wearing a skirt. ;o)
Ha... I don't see many girls wearing skirts these days, anyway.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, yes, LC. A Canon and Nikon in the same household! grin I can't remember when I wore a skirt last...about 15 years ago, I guess, when my daughter got married. And then it was floor-length. So....

I like how you spot your unusual pictures, Ginnie. Most people wouldn't look down
Ginnie Hart: You're very sweet, Lisl. Down or up, gotta always do both, I guess, right?! smile
Comfort 1
Fashion 0

I love that I almost never have to wear a tie, no longer own a suit.....smile
Ginnie Hart: So it goes on both sides, then, Bill. Comfort definitely wins at our age! grin
love this trasformation and this contrast in evidence
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Fabrizio. What a contrast, right? smile Grazie.

I'm definitely with Astrid on this one!! What a fun image showing our different preferences!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Marcie. Those high-heel days, I'm afraid, are looooong gone for us both. smile

you've come a long way baby!! hehe remember those ciggie ads? is the statue smoking a ciggie? smile nice shot!
Ginnie Hart: I think most of us have come a long way, Elaine, when it comes to sensible shoes/clothing. Though some do still like the stilettos, I'm afraid. smile

I tried walking in heals once ... I scraped my knee something awful when I hit the ground!

I like this in black and white!
Ginnie Hart: I guess you never forget those experiences, Helen, right?! smile Thanks.

Superbe and original photo with an excellent framing. Texture is very nice. Excellent work Ginnie. Have a lovely afternoon Ginnie. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Antoine, as always. Merci.
Fantastic photograph. I am greeting
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Zielona. Dziękujemy.
I love how Astrid's footwear are the brightest things in the shot, Ginnie. Wonderful B&W image showing the contrast between the two styles.
Ginnie Hart: Ohhhh, I love that, too, Beverly. smile Thanks for that thought!
Bill sums it up, I too love not wearing a tie every day anymore, indeed when I do I have to think hard about how to tie the knot!
Ginnie Hart: HA! It's a wonderful place to be, Brian, isn't it! smile Thanks.

Hahah!! The ubiquitous trainers. I wonder how many of these never actually seen any "training" by their wearers? Mind you, my running shoes are having a nice holiday, too!
Ginnie Hart: Regardless of what you do with them, Alan, those trainers sure beat the high heels!!! HA! Hope you're still enjoying your vacation!
Very nice picture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Victoria.
Excellent capture Ginnie! Well done.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
You were right to do it ! What a shot ! And you were right too to go... "mono" !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you and thank you, Flo. smile Merci and merci.
Nice processing and detail Ginnie.

I love the contrast of the white against the black smile

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

Ginnie Hart: HA! Well...I doubt it, Peter, but thanks anyway. smile
I like the difference in style!
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Wim. Not hard to guess which we would choose! smile
I hear those bronze shoes really pinch...
Ginnie Hart: HA! OUCH! grin
An idea very well done Ginnie. I love the contrast between the shoes and casual class tennis shoes. LOL !
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Marie. Very striking difference! grin Merci.
