Great timing Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: She had been sitting there just looking, Fred, and then flew off the sill into the coop. smile Thanks.

You made wonderful use of the light here, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!
That's wonderful Ginnie - treat capture! I love the color of the old wood.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. This wood is not actiually part of the barn itself but an add-on over the barn in that one corner for the chickens. I love how BIL Don rigged up the window. smile
Another lovely shot, Ginnie. I always like your processing. (I hope thisdoesn't gotwice. I was commenting and my browser crashed.)
Ginnie Hart: Oh WOW, Michael. I hope your browser is okay now. Thanks, as always, for commenting.
Great capture with the wings all a flutter Ginnie... this picture makes a statement about of our changing times!!.... you have the old patched up wooden chicken coup... with bungee cords to hold the screen window closedgrin....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: She had just sat there on the sill for the longest time, Peter, and then just flew into the coop. BIL Don had fun rigging up this add-on to the barn corner. Thanks.

Coming into land! It looks nice & sunny there Ginnie, just like it was here yesterday
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Chris, it was wonderfully sunny our full time in America as well as here now in the Netherlands. Thanks.

an interesting composition with all the different patterns of wood - and a fine observation (I have to look into my dictionary to translate the title - surely humorous?) But, please, no chicken roast for me on Sunday!
Ginnie Hart: We have the expression, "flew the coop," Philine, where it refers to leaving home or getting away:

This is fascinating yet a little disturbing Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: She sat on the sill for a long time, Chad, and then suddenly flew INTO the coop. I think she forgot she was supposed to fly OUT. Do NOT be frightened or disturbed. I have a feeling it happens all the time. smile

You did some better timing than I did smile. We watched those chicken walk in and out. This one was in a little rush to get in again grin.
Great light, we had some great weather.
Love how the wood colors show.
TGIF....yep we fly into the weekend, in about 12 hours (on my way home smile )
Ginnie Hart: We have so many memories of the Farm, don't we. So therapeutic. I love how that one chicken followed you around. grin TGIF. The weekend is most welcome! Bedankt, MLMA.

Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Martin, isn't it. smile Thanks.
OMG, that's a very big pigeon! Ha ha... :o)
Michigan not Texas?
Everything is huge in Texas though...

Alright, I am going hiking in Austria tomorrow.
So I see you next week. smile
Ginnie Hart: No pigeons on the farm in Michigan, LC. HA! And, NO, not Texas! Have a great time hiking in Austria. You sure do get around! smile
What a shot, Ginnie. You couldn't have planned it better.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. It tickled me to no end. smile
My first thought was that the pigeon was attached to the chain. Not though!
Fine light.
Ginnie Hart: It is, in fact, a chicken, Wim, and definitely NOT attached to the chain. HA! Bedankt.

What a great catch! As soon as I looked - I knew it was from your Michigan trip!!! Wonderful light!!
Ginnie Hart: You can see why we all love the Farm so much, Marcie. Don stopped raising chickens for a couple years, when they went veggan, but brought them back. We're all so glad (and they're not totally veggan anymore). Thanks.

What an excellent timing Ginnie smile Great capture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Frida. This was one of those times when I just stood there and stared, waiting for it to turn its head while perched on the sill. Instead, it just up and flew away inside! grin

Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Shooter.
Lovely ligh. But it's sad for the chicken !
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Marie, the chicken lives there and was just flying into the coop. It's a very lucky, free-range chicken, to be honest! smile Merci.

WOW, fantastic! Great
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Oscar. This was fun. Gracias.
An excellent image and idea too Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Apart from the main subject the wood in this looks really good.
Ginnie Hart: That wood, Brian, is a bit of an add-on to that corner of the original barn, to better insulate the chickens, I guess. I'm always tickled to see what BIL Don comes up with whenever I visit there. smile Thanks.
perfect timing smile
Ginnie Hart: It was fun, Joshi. Thanks. smile
