I like the orange bag, Ginnie, very apt for The Netherlands. A well observed picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thnak you, Graeme. Of course the orange bad was the main attraction for me. grin

gobsmacked
Ginnie Hart: You're most kind, Ray. Thank you.
Perfect title for this wonderful capture!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin!

I know exactly what you mean Ginnie. Perhaps you need a brand new project to get stuck into? Something challenging..
Ginnie Hart: I never lack for anything challenging, Chris. It's everything else that has to be done to maintain the household...the groceries, the bank, the laundry.... Actually, by now I've settled back into the swing of things, thankfully. smile

Oh, I had the feel to be in the heat of the orient near the Sahara - but after heaving read your words I understand you so well - go to the sea and breathe in a bit fresh, salty air, and whilst lying down wander back to the lovely memories....
Ginnie Hart: From looking at this image, Philine, you'd never know it was in the Netherlands, you're right. But it was while on a walk that we saw this woman. The things we see that can be just about anywhere! Bedankt.

Great picture, this, Ginnie. You will soon be back to normal!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Lisl. Actually, as I just told Chris, I'm already feeling settled in once again. smile

Holidays can be very tiring and the break from routine can make it even more irksome on return. I am sure you will soon be back in the mould but then it takes a while for the jet lag to cool off.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Chad. I've settled back in, finally, but have had a couple of sleepless nights...which probably doesn't have anything to do vacation. HA!
Just great..kind a mysterious..like it
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ioana. You'd never know this was the Netherlands except, perhaps, for the color orange! smile
I like the picture with the Dutch colour scheme smile

I know what you mean about holidays
Ginnie Hart: Just had to throw in the orange, Bill, in case you thought this was someplace other than the Netherlands. grin Thanks.

Wonderful shot, LOVE it. I remember that you took that picture. The lady asked us where the nearest busstop was. It indeed looks like she wonders off into the desert....
Love the bag she carries.
sigh..... I have the same as you, it will take a while before we are 'back to normal' (but then, what is 'normal'grin...)
Ginnie Hart: I love that we both saw her while together on our walk from the military museum. I'm sure she comes with her own history! Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA. Things are getting back to "normal," except for the sleep! sad

She looks lonely and lost! Nice shot!
Ginnie Hart: Once we caught up with her she asked us where the bus stop was! So, maybe you're right, Helen. Thanks.

What a beautiful image! The soft processing makes it look almost desert-like. Gorgeous!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Marcie. Even I wouldn't believe this was just down the street from us in the Netherlands!
Beautiful photographs, pretty scenery. I am greeting
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Zielona. Dziękujemy.
I fully share the feeling, on a weekly basis, disappearing in the woods...Great image Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! Good for you, Juan Carlos! smile Thanks.
Ha ha... I know the feeling.
So where are you both going next?
Greece?! Ha...
Ginnie Hart: HA! Greece will be the day! Right now we'll just stay put for awhile, I think. smile Thanks, LC.
Marvelous Ginnie! A great perspective, she could be walking for days, or have nipped around the corner shop grin
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Martin. So fun to imagine, isn't it. smile Thanks.
I like your treatment here.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Mary.

Hahah!! As I'm writing this at around 3.40am, I'm wishing just a teeny bit that I had stayed at home smile At least today I may get a sunrise photo.... Great title to a great image; I like your low POV.
Ginnie Hart: It's always good to get away, Alan, and coming back really isn't that bad. I just made it seem so! smile Enjoy your time away!

So true Ginnie! Excellent capture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ricjhard. Merci.
Nice capture Ginnie - not normally a fan of selective colour highlights but this works well here!
Ginnie Hart: It was the Dutch in me that made me do it, Fred. grin Thank you kindly.

Superb photo with a nice lighting. Excellent work Ginnie. Have a lovely evening Ginnie. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Antoine!
Very definitely Ginnie and the image gives that feeling as well.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
Where are we?
Ginnie Hart: HA! One does need to get their bearings, Larry, especially with an image like this. It does NOT look like it could be within walking distance of where we live here in the Netherlands!
An excellent processing Ginnie and a beautiful composition. I like it !
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Marie. Merci.
A very beautiful image, which one would expect in the Middle East, not in flat Holland.
Ginnie Hart: Bedankt, Wim, and exactly. I still can't believe we saw this within walking distance of where we live!
Fine image, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Tom!

Lovely smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Cherry. smile
I like the way that you framed this Ginnie... she looks like she is looking for a place to sit and rest... great treatment with the orange bag....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: She was actually looking for the bus stop, Peter, so when we caught up with her, we were able to give her directions. The orange bag had to stay, of course. smile Thanks.
I don know the feeling Ginnie! This is a terrific photo - that golden yellow is bright enough to be effective, yet understated enough not to take over the photo!
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Elizabeth. Thank you.
avec ce cabas, cette femme part au marché,j'aime beaucoup le cadrage mais aussi la teinte
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, l'Angevine. Merci.
I really like the feeling and simplicity of this Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Brian. Thanks.
