photoblog image The Horse Whisperer

The Horse Whisperer

Jackie patiently and lovingly gave this horse a good workout.

I stood in awe watching her...and couldn't choose just one image to show!

On the farm in Bath, England, early May.

Its a superb montage, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Ray. Thank you.
patiently and lovingly.. we need more people like her, IMO
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Ayush...especially with animals! Thanks.
Very nice series of shots.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Michael.

Fabulous series of pictures. I am so sorry I never saw this in real life. Jackie and horses, it is her life. You are right. One picture would not give her the credit she deserves.
Ginnie Hart: I was so lucky I caught her doing this, MLMA. I don't even know where you were...probably catching something I missed (like Manda's spider or was it a salamander with legs!). Hartstikke bedankt.
He seems plenty happy to oblige her! It's a lovely collage!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. It was clear they had a special mutually-respectful relationship.

Thank you for this Ginnie: these animals are mere putty in her hands. If I tried this they'd just laugh at me...
Ginnie Hart: You're welcome, Chris. Even today I'm still staring at the both of them working together as one!

Yes, I know about Jackie's passion and talents - and this a wonderful hommage to her and to the horses, Shetland ponies -I especially love the first picture above -the running horse!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Philine. Jackie really did give this fella a workout, as that first imnage shows! smile

A lovely set of pictures here for Jackie - I have never seen her at work with her ponies, only Mrs Ratty!
Ginnie Hart: I think I must have been lucky, Lisl, because I didn't see this last year and even Astrid (Ms. Eagle Eye) missed it (while she was finding something I missed!). I have really gained a high estimation of Jackie and all she knows and can do! Thank you.
There is an art to working a horse on a lunge line Ginnie... and you have captured it very well with this this collage... Jackie has done a superb job with this horse....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: I have a feeling there's much more to this than meets the eye, Peter, for sure. Thank you.

i love horses Ginnie, but am too scared to get close to them, odd combination really, sort of like how i feel about God maybe? lol thise is a great montage
Ginnie Hart: I can see the comparison, Elaine. smile Thanks.
The montage is excellent Ginnie (weights, distribution of images, directions, as well as partitioning..). The pony seems very happy there too.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Juan Carlos. Gracias.

That beast will end up a racehorse Ginnie, I just know it.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Maybe we need to whisper something to Jackie. smile Thanks, Chad.
A skilled horsewoman at work. Fine collage Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Definitely skilled, Bill! Thanks.

Not being able to choose, means we get more! A lovely collage Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. That's one sweet way to look at it. smile
That's a lovely Shetland pony!
Hey, this is the same farm you got the "heavy metal" shot, right?
I saw the garage in the last shot.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, LC. You are so observant. grin Thanks.

I've never done riding but I've always had great admiration for horses and for those who love them and cares, and also for those who train them. So naturally, I love this series Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Marie. I know exactly what you mean. Merci.
I love the line across the middle that shows the pony nuzzling her. Love.
Ginnie Hart: That was after the workout, Mary, and was precious to see. Thank you.
A nice compolation of a real horse-girl and her horse!
Ginnie Hart: Inderdaad, Wim!

BTW, I tried leaving another comment but it's not showing up. Did you check to see if you have a Spam box for your site?

She is lunging the pony. That is what you do when you don't have the time to ride the animal for exercise. The top left one is the candidate for 'single show' image.
Ginnie Hart: Lunging. So it is. This pony was used later by a young girl in a show. Maybe Jackie would have been too heavy for it??? I don't know these things, obviously. I'm glad I picked the correct image for my thumbnail. smile Thanks, Louis.
Wonderful sense of the setting and moment Ginnie. I admire people who can work so well with animals!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Doug, and I so agree!

It requires a calm and gentle approach sometimes to win over the horse; looks like Jackie has those qualities. The horses remind me of the breed that used to work in the Welsh coal pits many years ago.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're right about Jackie. She definitely has the touch, according to what Chris says as well. Thanks, Alan.
A fine series of shots to tell a story.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, John. It was hard to leave out the whole story, thus the collage.
A magnificent assembly Ginnie to explain this fascinating job! This long and soft patience of the training!! Good evening..
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mathilde. It was so satisfying to stand there and watch! Merci.
Second time I've seen this today, I saw it earlier on your latest Blog, which I thoroughly enjoyed, how much longer before Astrid and you are honorary Englishwomen?
Ginnie Hart: Awwww. You can make us honorary Englishwomen any time you want, Brian. We would be honored! smile
Adore this series!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Robin!
This is a wonderful collage Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard. Merci.

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Rian. I do appreciate your vote of confidence. I think the horse still had it's winter coat of fur. smile
A superb montage, Ginnie!

Dedicated to what she loves doing Ginnie Lovely set of captures I would have tried to post them all..

Editing can be so hard on occasion, but equally sometimes it doesn't matter and the result is a nice photo essay...
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, George. The sequence told a story that seemed best left together as one.

I admire the way you have artfully grouped and presented this lovely series...a series that tells a beautiful story of a relationship between the two.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Sue. I'm glad I kept it all together because it really was a "beautiful story."
That's a gorgeous montage! Superb photography as usual Ginnie! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. Good to see you again. smile
There have been some very good collages on SC lately.

It's amazing what the horse whisperers do...
Ginnie Hart: Lots of collages indeed, Larry. Sometimes that's just what we do, right? smile Thanks.
