Is it time to wake up sooo soon? Where did the weekend go?

Great photo smile
Ginnie Hart: I know what you mean, Cherry! Thanks.
So thrilled those days are over! I love this bell ringer!!
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Robin, but I live with someone who is still in the work force, as you know. I can hardly wait till those days are over for her, too! Thanks.
Now it's time to wake up to go pick up my granddaughter, which I truly enjoy doing. Love the way you framed this shot, Ginnie along with that cool bell!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, John. Picking up the granddaughter is one of the best "jobs" one could have, I'm sure!

But is is good to be up early anyway, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, indeed, Lisl...with the day spread out before you! Early to bed, early to rise....
Luckily, I am retired.
Ginnie Hart: I know, Michael. We paid our dues! I can hardly wait for Astrid to "arrive" there, too!
Well spotted Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Richard.
Great image, love the processing!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Andrei.

Hoh! what a bell! -Bill too was so pleased of all the different bells in our biker's countries! But why sepia and not dazzingly colourful? I love your title and subnotes - yes, I understand you well!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Philine...I wondered the same thing about the sepia and not the dazzingly colourful. grin Bedankt.

Love it. The bell on my bike is a lot less colorful. Hope you are well grin
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, SAVO, and good to see you again! We are very well, thank you. And my bell, too, is just "plain Jane," as we say. smile

In one and a half hour I will go to work.... I hope that the work is done at 7P.
Great shot and I would not mind, having that bell on my bike grin....
Ginnie Hart: I live for the day when you'll be retired, MLMA. One day! Thanks for hanging in there till then. When that day comes, I'll get you the most colorful bell you've ever seen! grin

I well remember the joy of rising at 04:30am to go onto the early shift Ginnie - never again!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank God, Chris, is what I say!!! Quoth the raven, "Never more!"
Acorns for us this morning, the new manager, Sally, starts today...I wonder what she will be like? As nice as this picture I hopesmile
Ginnie Hart: I wish you much success with your new manager, Bill. Got all my fingers and toes crossed for you! Thanks.

Woke up, went to work. With bad opinion about the duch football:-( I hoped, crossed my fingers, but nothing to do:-(
Ginnie Hart: As Astrid says, the Dutch with their BIG EGOS don't deserve to win, Luiza. She wants them to get rid of all 24 guys and get a new batch who really want to be a TEAM! (sigh)

Hhaha.. Yuk.. Monday morning sad I did ride my bike to work today.. my annual "Ride to Work" day (in return from a free drink!). I must admit to not haveing a bell on my bike.. I prefer to rely on "GETOUTTATHEWAYYYY!!"
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! Here he comes. Get out of his way! grin I love it, Alan. Actually, your ears get attuned to hearing the bell ringing behind you here and you DO get out of the way!
Lol at Tiff. In the army I enjoyed being on exercise and seeing the dawn in summer.
Ginnie Hart: Actually, Chad, whenever we drive through the night from Atlanta to Michigan (to the family cottage), I always want to drive that early-morning shift when the whole world wakes up!

I would like to go to work on a bike (except in the rain)....
Ginnie Hart: It's a way of life here in the Netherlands, Mark, rain or shine!
Oh, I remember bells like that. You brought back great memories.
Ginnie Hart: Always kids at heart, Mary! Thanks.

Worked from the age of ten to sixty five and retired now Ginnie don't have to get up early or rush around for work, just relaxing and enjoying life. Its amazing these bells are still around.
Ginnie Hart: It's a wonderful place to be, Peter...retirement! I'm trying like the dickens to figure out how I can get Astrid there, sooner than later! Thanks.
Great shot Ginnie; I like your isolation of the subject smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Martin. The fun thing was I didn't even use selective coloring this time. It just happened all on its own. smile

Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sil, and I know. smile
Oh goodness, having just returned from a long vacation, going back to work was rough. I am so looking forward to retirement! Ring, ring...
Ginnie Hart: I can just imagine, Doug. It's better than you think, even if more unorganized! HA! I'm still trying to figure out how we can get Astrid retired sooner than later!

Luckily I don't have to go to work on a bicycle. It is freezing cold her in Jhb early in the morning.
Yet another great capture !!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elsabe. It still amazes me how many Dutch go to work all year 'round on their bikes. Very hardy creatures, I'd say!

For some reason I am thinking of fat bottomed girls. It must be the queen in me.
Ginnie Hart: LOL, Louis. That's too funny. grin
That's a pretty bell, most unusual.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Sheila. Hmmm. Maybe I need to start "collecting" bike bells! smile
Nice detail here Ginnie, well spotted.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Fred.
that bell looks very unique smile
Ginnie Hart: It's probably a dime a dozen, Joshi...at least in Amsterdam. But now I will start paying more attention. smile Thanks.

Delightful close-up Ginnie. Luckily I don't have to worry about getting up for work and anyway, I think I'm unemployable after all these years doing my own thing!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ingrid, and I totally "get" you!
I really do like that bell, so much more attractive than the funny little thing on my bike, not that I ride it much these days though.
Ginnie Hart: If you've got to ride a bike for transportation, Brian, you might as well spruce it up. It helps when it comes time for finding it! smile
Uhmm..there's fashion in bell ringers too! I see I have a bunch of fields ahead to cover Ginnie. Maybe they have one to match my i-phone cover! It'll be perfect.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed, Juan Carlos. Matching bells and iPhone covers. You need to be in marketing!

A very apPEALING bell!

The bit in parenthesis brought a wry smile. Retired I am, but I seem to work more now than before. Hmm, I must be doing something wrong!
Ginnie Hart: I know exactly what you mean, George. I work more now but am probably much more unorganized. (sigh) Oh well....
Well seen and delivered Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, John.
Well spotted and captured Ginnie. I love it!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. Merci.
Ha... I wished my iPhone came with this tune now!
How was your weekend, G?
Ginnie Hart: That would be fun, LC...a bicycle bell on your iPhone?! smile It was a good weekend!

I love ringing my bike bell ... i especially like it when it startles my friends. smile
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's funny, Emily. Bike bells are essential here in the Netherlands, especially for the pedestrians. smile
Hey Ginnie!!! i am both retired and on a holidaysmile... and i haven't slept in since we left home last week.... but thanks for the wake up call....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Being retired isn't always what it's cracked up to be, Peter, but still better than the every-day work schedule, for sure!
Makes me think of a song, Ring A My Bell ell ell Ring Ring Rng A my Bell . Lovely capture!
Ginnie Hart: You can ring my bell any time you want, right?! grin I love it, Sue. Thanks.
This is wonderful! Great coloring! I have a long way to go to retirement... though it's all I aspire to! smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elizabeth. I'm trying like the dickens to see how Astrid can retire earlier than she expects. Still working on it....so I know what you mean.

I like how you 'isolated' the subject and draw our eyes to the unique bell. You have a way of 'spotting' the most interesting items to photograph!

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Ray. smile
This seems to be your season for polka dots! First the ladies in their dresses for your birthday, now the bell. You don't have one of those itsy-bitsy teeny-weenie yellow polka dot....

Naw, didn't think so! wink
Ginnie Hart: HAHAHA! And even I didn't connect the dots, Linda! grin I love it. Thanks.
