A lovely photo to commemorate Father's Day smile
Ginnie: Thank you, Cherry.
This is cute... (I hope there were no cars around though.)
Ginnie: Thanks, Jacquelyn...and no cars around in the park! However, I have seen crazy scenes like this in Holland when there WERE cars around, believe it or not!

Absolute fabulous picture. In the Vondelpark 'everything' is possible. I am glad it is a place were cars are NOT allowed. Love the selective coloring.
Ginnie: I love that park, MLMA! It's a biker's paradise and the pedestrians have to pay attention! Hartstikke bedankt.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads, uncle's, grandpa's etc.
Have a great week-end !!!
Ginnie: Thank you, Elsabe. We all had a father, whether we knew him or not! I wish I had known mine better (may he rest in peace).

I can't work out if that man is either lazy or inventive...
Ginnie: The things the Dutch manage to do, Chris, would boggle your mind! smile

Better than taking your dog for a walk this way, Ginnie!
Ginnie: I guess so, Lisl. HA!

Haha - funny observation I sometimes can make on our promenade, too - also jogging fathers and mothers with push-chairs, but I ask me if the children are so happy of this quick movements - it may shaking their heads? I like your selctive colouring!
Ginnie: I know, Philine. But then I think that these kids have never known anything different. This is Life as they know it!!! HA! Bedankt.

Ginnie: Thanks, Paule.
la fête du vélo sera très animée cette année en Anjou, nous devons être parée en style vintage....
Ginnie: Vintage is so fun for just about anything, l'Angevine, isn't it! Merci.
Very nice shot.
Ginnie: Thank you, Navin. I always take a second look when I see something like this...even after 2-1/2 years here!
It's a funny old world grin
Ginnie: You can say that again, Bill! smile

awwww what a lovely Father's day picture smile i still don't know how to do selective colour lol it really works here, and makes the pic all the sweeter
Ginnie: Thanks, Elaine. The minute I saw it last Friday I knew it would be perfect for Father's Day. smile
sweet tribute!!! thank you
Ginnie: Thank you, Fabrizio, and you're welcome. smile
Is it really fathers day coming up, I think that a load of nonsense.
Ginnie: I sure hope your kids and grandkids don't think so, Chad!!! smile
The man should be horse whipped in public then thrown in jail for this.ps nice pic.
Ginnie: You'd be surprised how many times we see something like this, Mick! Seriously. It always shocks me.... P.S. Thanks.
Nice perspective in this shot Ginnie.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Fred.
The picture is fabulous. Now I wonder whether the child arrived home safely, Ginnie. Maybe the father has a B plan for emergencies...
Ginnie: Let's hope everyone ended up safe-n-sound, Juan Carlos! (sigh) Thanks.
Haha. I knew someone who 'walked his dog' that way but not take a child for a stroll. Good capture.
Ginnie: I did a double-take, Mary, for sure! smile Thanks.
Great shot Ginnie, good fun! smile
Ginnie: Thanks, Martin, and as long as everyone stays safe! smile

PERFECT!! Love the selective coloring!
Ginnie: Thanks, Marcie. As long as everyone is safe, right?! Those Dutch! smile
Lazy! Crazy!
Ginnie: I know, Frank. I know!
What a great moment to capture Ginnie, and the B&W with little color is also well done. Love it
Ginnie: Hartstikke bedankt, Chantal.

Hhaah at Richard T! I've seen people dog "walking" before but the first time with a pram. A good find and the selective colouring works well.
Ginnie: Thanks, Alan. I did a double-take myself! smile
Good capture but .....
Oh dear, oh dear, surely this is not to be recommended. He may be a father, but where ever it is happening it strikes me as irresponsible.
Ginnie: It's hard to know how to react to this, Sheila, I know, but you'd be surprised how often I see things like this here in the Netherlands, like it's all ho-hum!
Faster dad, faster
Ginnie: HA! Totally oblivious to what's really going on, John!
Adorable! And I love how you made them "pop" with the color! Have a wonderful weekend!
Ginnie: Thank you, Robin. This is something you'll do a double-take on when you're over here, trust me. smile

It seems to me that these days fathers are becoming more actively involved with parenting -- even 'pushing' the strollers!?!

Cute capture, Ginnie.
Ginnie: Oh yes, Sue. Indeed. I see it all the time here and appreciate it. Thanks.
Thanks Ginnie, a fat envelope arrived this morning from my daughter, I shall wait to see what turns up from my son. This is quite an efficient way of getting about as long as nothing goes wrong I feel.
Ginnie: Hope your son "shows up," Brian, and that your day feels special, as it should! Thanks.

I now live only a few blocks from this lovely park! it is amazing how easily the Dutch maneuvers their bikes, even little kids have no fear.
Ginnie: So you know edxactly what this is like, Huibri! Thanks.
Haha. Great catch Ginnie. We were amazed at some of the cycling scenes we saw over there.
Ginnie: I'm still amazed, Janet, after 2-1/2 years here! Thanks.
Wonderfully observed!
And: thanks!
Ginnie: Hartstikke bedankt, Wim, en graag gedaan.

Lovely photo of a special moment (though would have preferred either all colour or all b/w - just not a fan of selective colouring!)
Ginnie: Thanks, Ingrid, but as you surely know by now, you can please some of the people some of the time but not all the people all of the time. smile
Perfect processing Ginnie, excellent !
Ginnie: Thnak you kindly, Marie. Merci.

Ginnie: Thanks, Rian. Cycling is a way of life here, as you know, so the kids learn it from day one!

Ginnie: Thanks, Dennis. I thought so, too. smile
Wonderful image with the selective colouring Ginnie! Well done.

Superb photo and perfect processing Ginnie. Have a lovely evening. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie: Merci, dear Antoine.
Ha ha... I have heard of "power pram walk".
But this really takes the biscuit, G! wink
Hey, who says men can't multitask?!
Ginnie: Yes, LC. HAHAHA! The proof is in the pudding, as they say! smile
Thank you Ginnie... i am only 500 miles away from both of our sons and four grandkids this weekend... but i am sure that i will get an email or two on Sundaygrin....petersmile
Ginnie: I wish you the best of Father's Days while being so far away, Peter!
Great shot Ginnie! I love your selective coloring, it works so very well here!
Ginnie: Thanks a lot, Elizabeth! smile
Cool shot but it doesn't look like the safest way to push the kid.
Ginnie: We're definitely not "trained" to do it like this, Michael, that's for sure. It seems so "easy" for the Dutch!
Is this in the Vondelpark by the way?
Ginnie: Yes, it is, Chantal. No cars!

Well spotted Ginnie but don't think I would have tried this.
Ginnie: The only good thing to say, Peter, is that in the park there are no cars!
Cute sight. I don't think I would be able to the same as he is... I would crash for sure! *giggles*
Ginnie: He does look "seasoned," LCT, doesn't he! smile
A sweet scene...
Ginnie: Thanks, Larry. I thought so, too.
