Ginnie Hart: To tell you the truth, Sherri, the mist was an important part of the day. smile Thanks.
That is definitely an English view. Very nice shot.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Michael. I can still see and feel it in my mind's eye.

Ginny this is a smashing photo
Ginnie Hart: Why thank you, Sir Vintage. smile
Wonderful - this is what I'd think about when I picture an English Country Walk!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Elizabeth...and thank you.

I love your composition, very British indeed ...
It's raining here,wishing you a great week-end too, Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Anyes. We're having off-n-on rain here in the Netherlands, but we need it, so no one is complaining!

a lovely processed, sfeervolle photo - I love the summer meadow especially! Typically English? Maybe, but you could be in Bavaria or Hintertupfingen or in Kattenvenne near the Teutoburger Wald (near Detmold), too?
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Philine. And yes, I'm sure many could claim this as theirs! smile

Walking the dog can take hours.....
Women are known for talking but I think men do a great job too.
Fabulous picture!!
Ginnie Hart: The dogs do seem to help the conversation, don't they! smile Bedankt, MLMA.
...I see no Range Rover, Ginnie. Great shot & composition.
Ginnie Hart: HA! No Range Rover to be found that day, Juan Carlos. smile Thanks.

I'm laughing because today the weather here is EVEN WORSE than in your fine picture!
Ginnie Hart: So we had it good that day, then, Chris! smile We actually have many fond memories, inspite of the rain and mud!!!

So pleased you have good memories of the day, Ginnie - it was a hard walk
Ginnie Hart: After processing all my images yesterday, Lisl, I had to laugh about the "rough spots" because we sure saw some wonderful things!!! Thanks.
It certainly is and it is still raining!!
Ginnie Hart: Hopefully you had a break over the weekend as we did, Bill, with lots of sun peeking in and out of the clouds.
We had a very wet April and now June is following suit ...and now you remind us Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: As I just mentioned to Bill, hopefully you had a break over the weekend as we did, Richard, with lots of sun peeking in and out of the clouds.

A charming photograph and I understand how you see this as English Ginnie. I like the field of buttercups.
Ginnie Hart: Sometimes the things closest to you are seen better through the eyes of foreigners, Chad, right?!
Ah, this is the kind of weather that makes us English, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: I'm sure you're very right, Tom. That's one way to look at it. smile
Dog ownership is a good way to make friends smile Nice shot Ginnie: despite the conditions you've created a vibrant scene!
Ginnie Hart: Dogs do set up good opportunities...all around the world, I'm sure, Martin! Thank you.
I sure do like this shot, Ginnie. Real colour and gorgeously rich!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Mary!
Fine depth and colours to this Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Fred.
Would have loved to have been with you Ginnie even if it was raining.Live not that far away.
Ginnie Hart: Are you kidding me??? Next time, Peter, don't be a stranger. We LOVE that neck of your woods.
Compared to now, a fine summer day, British, it could be Wales or Scotland smile
Ginnie Hart: That's what I would expect, John. BRITISH! But of course, we were with Chris who wanted everything to be English. smile

What gorgeous colors against the mist. Such a perfectly typical English 'moment' (or - as I would imagine...smile)!
Ginnie Hart: Perfectly English, Marcie, in every way. It would be hard to get more so, based on everything I have seen and been told. smile
Aw.... Isn't England really beautiful? Ha ~
Hey, you got the poodle's attention!
Maybe you didn't smell English to him. grin

It's really windy today in London!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, England is really beautiful, LC. We love it! We had lots of wind in Amsterdam on Friday while we were there, so we probably shared the same good fortune! smile

Ah yes.. a glorious typical English summer's day! I love the colour in the fields at this time of year. I was out yesterday lunchtime for a walk on our local Common; it tipped with rain but I loved it!
Ginnie Hart: I'm growing to love England as you know it, Alan. I wouldn't want to see it any other way than what it is! smile

I just smiled when I opened this image; not quite sure why. Perhaps, as you say, so typical of our preconceived notions...

I love the misty feel and the smiles on their faces.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Sue. The more I see of England like this, the more I fall in love with it. smile
I can't believe two weeks ago today we were walking around a few miles from Stratford and I was in shirt sleeves, and now what have we got, the same conditions that you appeared to have when you took this great image.
Ginnie Hart: It happens to us here in the Netherlands, too, Brian. I have a feeling we get very similar weather all the time!

Ginnie Hart: HA! Now that you mention it, Louis....
Awesome. What a lovely shot of a lovely day.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, dear Gail.
Ok , its still raining here , how about some nice sunny beach shots.
Ginnie Hart: HA! Did you get some sun over the weekend like we did here in the Netherlands, Mick? I hope so.

Even on a misty rainy day, a good walk is a joy. best to keep the camera dry.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed, Rob. Indeed. I'm never one to fret about misty rain, truth be told. Maybe I was an Englishwoman in a former life? smile
Ahh yes Ginnie. So very English. Dog walkers almost have a club of their own. I miss belonging to the dog club but am not intending to get another one, but a friend of a friend has got some lovely puppies...........
Ginnie Hart: I see the Club here in the Netherlands, too, Janet, whenever 'm out on my walks around the citadel. The dogs seem to be the "entrance" into good friendships. smile
A wonderful candid and atmospheric capture Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard. Merci.
Mmmm.... it does sort of sum up England.
Ginnie Hart: HA! And nothing to not be proud of, Sheila!!! smile
Long live the country life. (Hands in pockets!)
Ginnie Hart: HA! Exactly, Wim. The life of Riley, in other words. smile
Ah, lovely, particularly the ranges of yellow flowers (buttercups?).
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Larry, and yes...buttercups!

Yes - those gentlemen are so obviously British. Who else wears a flat cap, green wellies and Barbour jacket to walk the dog in the rain!
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Ingrid. smile I love it all.
j'apprécie leur échange avec le regard souriant
Ginnie Hart: It makes you wonder if they have been friends for years, meeting like this every day, l'Angevine. smile
A beautiful English summer's day. Just the way we like it. Anyone for cricket. Oh, bugger, it's raining! Let's go down the pub instead. Waes Hael!
Ginnie Hart: HA! What a wonderful way to look at life, Dave. I love it. smile
Very very nice photo!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Victoria. Tack.

This reminds me of my trip to England, for sure. I feel the essence of the UK is just all over this photo. Love it! AND what cute puppies ... what are their names, do you know? smile
Ginnie Hart: Don't we love having this "stereotype" of England, Emily! It's fun. But no, I don't know the names of the puppy-dogs. sad
It amazes me how some scenes can be damp, misty and gray and yet seem almost lit from within. This shot captures the phenomenon beautifully - it makes me smile with all the sunshine from the flowers!
Ginnie Hart: I know, Linda. I guess the English see this as their way of life! Thank you.
