2e Paasdag = 2nd Easter Day

It's still officially Easter here in the Netherlands, a national holiday.

So, once again, Happy Easter.

Today at Vision & Verb I write about something Astrid often says:

Death has to have a reason!

Hmmmm! An extra day for Easter...sounds like a retailer has had something to say about the calendar, Ginnie.

No matter...your image is a delight!
Ginnie Hart: It's definitely the lighter side of the Easter holiday, Ray. smile Thank you.
Gorgeous Ginnie! Really touching and lovely - I'll look forward to reading your post tomorrow (since here in the US it's still yesterday!) smile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, deear Elizabeth. Very kind of you!

What a delight of spring flowers and photoshop-photography! I'll look forward to reading your Vision & Verb! Genieten jullie van de Tweede Paasdag!
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Philine. Bedankt!
It is a holiday here too Ginnie. Raining of course as is traditional on Easter Monday grin
Ginnie Hart: It's raining here, too, Bill, which makes it a cozy day for me. Astrid, of course, bemoans the fact that it almost always rains on her days off! (sigh)

I think this lovely image fits well with your "Vision & Verb" posting today, Ginne
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, dear Lisl. I'm sure you figured out why I used the image at V&V? smile
Un superbe printemps !

Wonderful colours and light. Love the treatment. Wonder what the flower is called?
We will enjoy this extra day off and a 'short week' smile
Ginnie Hart: I wish I knew the real name for this flower, MLMA, but I sure loved having it next to our window seat at the Vietnamese restaurant in Tiel, remember? Bedankt.

We'll make the most of this free day for you, even though it's raining. I love that you have the time off!
Nice photo and great treatment Ginnie... I keep wondering what the words say near the top.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Jacquelyn. It's in French and Astrid picked out some of the words, which she said were appropriate...like flowers. smile

It's still Easter here in the UK too Ginnie and guess what: it's going to rain all day. I don't care though because I am going to wear my waterproofs and walk in it
Ginnie Hart: I love that we share the free day, Chris. We'd love to put on our Wellies and join you for the day! smile (It's rtaining here, too.)
Holiday and rain in Norway as well wink

The words make me look closer.....very nice colours and texture smile
Ginnie Hart: April showers bring May flowers! So, we welcome the rain after several dry days here in the Netherlands, Aksel. Thank you for stopping by.
Great treatment of this lovely Clivia.
Ginnie Hart: Ahhhh. So NOW we know what this is called! Thank you, Martin!!!
Happy Easter!!! i'm still excited about what Jesus did, on this day, so long ago... this is a beautiful picture, my friend xoxoxox
Ginnie Hart: What I love about the Easter story, Elaine, is that whether people believe in Jesus or not, and what he "did," Mother Nature tells the same story over and over again, year after year! After death there is always life!

A lovely spring image and a good one to mark today. This would seem to be the only sun we see in the south today; we ave some very welcome rain.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Alan. It's raining here today, too, so it appears to be a European thing. But we needed it, so I'm not complaining either.

Forest lilies (clivias) - indigenous to my country. A great picture by your signature conversion technique.
Ginnie Hart: I'm very glad I found out what this flower is, Louis, from both you and Martin. Thank you.
Lovely treatment and composition. Have fun with Astrid today.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Mary. We do plan to have fun today. HA! grin

Magnifique macro. Couleurs, lumière, trendyu super.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, dear Khalil. I'm missing the link to your site....???
Happy Easter holiday, a bank holiday in the UK. A government think-tank has just declared that bank holidays should be abolished as they cost the country too much money. The usual Tory position of knowing the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
Ginnie Hart: I just talked to Astrid about this and she said today here is NOT a bank holiday, even though the banks are closed. It's a real holiday connected to Easter, just like the 2nd Christmas Day. Most interesting!
A fine image Ginnie, I will catch up with your V.& V.shortly.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. I always enjoy your take on my posts there...as do the other ladies. smile

Happy Easter!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Rob. I like the 2-day celebration.
Same here in the UK, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: So I've heard, Tom. Enjoy.
A holiday as well here today, called "Easter Monday".
A delightful image Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: I wish we had that in America, too, Richard! Enjoy it while you have it!
Death is an interesting subject.
When I was little I always had this weird dream,
I saw myself sleeping in a coffin!

Can you analyse this? wink

I thought I was the Second Coming.
Is it 2e Komming in Dutch? Ha...
I know a bit of Dutch too! A haha grin
Ginnie Hart: Analyzing dreams has always been an interest of my, LC, believe it or not. I even have a couple of books on the subject. I'm not sure about YOUR dream but I do enjoy figuring out mine. smile

I love your Dutch. HA!
It's a Bank Holiday here too, shame the weather is horrible: very wet and windy...

Very nice and warm Easter image Ginnie smile
Ginnie Hart: Astrid says it's not a bank holiday here, even though the banks are closed. It really is the 2nd Easter Day! smile Thanks, Magdalena. Back to the salt mines tomorrow (except for us lucky ones who are retired).
Beautiful Easter flowers Ginnie but someone has written a lovely message in French across the petalsgrin.... love it....petersmile

Je me soutiens!!
Ginnie Hart: I knew you'd say something about the writing, Peter. grin Astrid says there's even the French word for "flower" there. HA!

Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Thomas, and YES, we did...a nice 3-day weekend. smile
A charming picture Ginnie and I like the written message.
Ginnie Hart: You're a sweetheart, Chad. Thank you.
Wonderful picture and wonderful words...

Dónde está oh muerte tu aguijón

1 Corintios 15:55-57

I´m sorry but I can not translate this fantastics words of Saint Paul...
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Eduardo. Great words from Saint Paul. Thank you for them:

Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

Superb capture and treatment Ginnie just can't make out the words on the top.
Glad we don't have a extra day over here the grandchildren have worn us out all ready.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Peter. Astrid says the words are French and she even found one that says "flower" in French. smile How fun.

And yes, I have a feeling you need a vacation now!!!
This is a joyous image, Ginnie; a perfect capture for the Easter holiday.
Ginnie Hart: You're very kind, Beverly. Thank you.

Beautiful texture and of course flower!
Isn´t tulip time?
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Luiza. Even though our temps hover between 40-50 F these days, it probably IS tulip time. The daffodils are on their last leg, of course.
