Ahh... You know how I love my benches for sitting and resting a while ;-)
Ginnie Hart: I love them, too, Cherry, but I don't always stop and use them. I should because they would help me smell the roses! smile Thanks.
Just what the doctor ordered Ginnie, well spotted.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Les. I bet we all could use a bit more of this medicine!
I hope it was a nice conversation smile lovely photo
Ginnie Hart: I do, too, Nik. grin Thanks.
strange, it almost looks like a realistic painting! would look good over my couch smile
Ginnie Hart: Awww. That's very kind of you, Elaine. Thank you.

Her floating back-end seems most appropriate, Ginnie.

Perfect, this is the right thing to do at Wednesdays. Wonderful shot, they had a great view. (We saw the week in half, at noon grin)
Ginnie Hart: Everyone needs a break! Wednesday is as good a time as any, if not better. I'll think of you sawing the day in half at noon. Take a breather! Bedankt.

relaxing.
Ginnie Hart: Indeed!
How lovely!! Maybe Matt and I should go for a little picnic Saturday! Hmmmm.... thanks for the lovely shot and lovely idea!
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch sure know how to take a break, Elizabeth. We have a lot to learn from them! smile Thanks.
Me gusta la foto, un buen disparo.

Saludos
Ginnie Hart: Muchas gracias, Bernardo.
A flask of coffee but no bacon butties?? Still you can't have everything
Ginnie Hart: There was no way they dared bacon butties in front of me, Bill, knowing I hadn't yet had my own go at one! grin I can hardly wait. HA!
Something timeless about this image, Ginnie. Maybe it is the mode of transport, (albeit a modern version), but I think it is the flask. Something very comforting about a simple moment of pleasure which could have been enjoyed any time in the last century. Lovely start to the day for me. (:o)
Ginnie Hart: Thanks for your delightful interpretation of this image, Roz. You've just made my day! smile

Oh, this is relaxation pure! A nice scene you captured here - and very Dutch - and a bit voyeuresque?
Ginnie Hart: This bench was right next to the sculpture I posted in my previous post, Philine. It was a perfect place for voyeurism. smile Bedankt.
Great shot with an excellent texture. I like it. Have a lovely day Ginny. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Antoine.

I wonder if they had binoculars with them to do some bird-watching over the water, Ginnie?
Ginnie Hart: Good question, Lisl. There are enough birds all over the Netherlands to warrant a good pair of binoculars, that's for sure! Thanks.

Knowing how fit & active the Dutch are I expect they've cycled many miles and even more kilometres Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Chris, I'm sure you're right. You'd keep right up with little sister! smile
Wow!! Such fabulous treatment! Such wonderful processing Ginniesmile I LOVE ITsmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir!

What a lovely spot to pause and rest!
Ginnie Hart: They're everywhere all over this wonderful country, Marcie! Thanks.
Good to seee one of them has a basket to carry the refreshments, the woman I'm sure !
Ginnie Hart: HA! Those baskets are an important accessory to half the bikes around the country, Martin. smile
Sheila and I are thinking of getting a bike to get round on Ginnie but I keep putting her off as I prefer the walking better for the camera, but it still nice to sit, admire and have a cup of coffee.
Ginnie Hart: Also, remember that Holland is mostly flat, Peter! smile Make sure Sheila understands this. HA!

A wonderful capture Ginnie with a marvelous atmosphere. Looks like the perfect place to sit and relax and have a chat. Beautifuly seen and captured. Wishing you and Astrid both a wonderful Easter.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks a million, Laurette. There are places like this all over the Netherlands. You can almost always find a bench somewhere to sit on! smile You, too, have a great Easter weekend.

Lovely Ginnie: relaxing in the park with tea - could be England!
I like your POV, with the foreground grass, was you laying on the ground?
Ginnie Hart: No, Martin, I was standing tall as straight as a stick. smile And in case you can't tell, we're all up on top of a dijk. A great POV. smile Thanks.
There's just something about bikes and benches and couples sharing. Great photo!
Ginnie Hart: You are so right, Maery. Thank you!

Love on a bike or should it be on a bench I like the tone of this photo
Ginnie Hart: Take your pick, Vintage. grin I love it. Thanks.
What better way is there to enjoy a day in the country, except Maureen doesn't enjoy riding her bike any more and I'm hopeless on hills these days, oh for the heady days of youth again.
Ginnie Hart: Lucky for us, Brian, Holland is pretty flat where we live...actually, almost everywhere! smile But once we drive to our photo hunt, we mainly walk anyway. Thanks.

Belle pause romantique avant de poursuivre le chemin.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Khalil. You didn't leave the link to your site, so I will try to look for you....
lovely candid smile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Rob.
This has such a lovely calm & unhurried atmosphere about it, Ginnie. The colour & tone are marvellous.
Ginnie Hart: It's fun, Beverly, isn't it. Thank you.
Ha... Easy tigress! smile
Two more days to go...

Oh deer, I forgot you're actually Bambi, not a tigress.
Doe'h! grin
Ginnie Hart: HA! I love your play with words, LC. smile Thanks.

looks so retro. i like the concept of riding a bike in lieu of cars. (unless it's Liesl of course)
Ginnie Hart: Holland is a country of bikes, Sherri, and is idyllic because of it! It's wonderful. smile Thanks.
Wonderful image Ginnie. There seem to be such a complicity between these two!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Richard, Merci. It's fun to imagine what they're complicit about. smile
Having no mountains there, you could help us sending a few benches of those so nicely designed grin
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch have enough benches to share all over the world, Juan Carlos, for sure! smile Thanks. Gracias.
One always wonders what people are talking about. The weather was nice enough apparently.
Ginnie Hart: It was a fabulous day, Wim, which is why we were out-n-about, so close to home. And yes, the things we would hear if we could. smile

Going nowhere without a flask. A great picture with a certain element of intimacy.
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch like to be prepared, Louis, as you surely know. smile Thanks.
Looks like a shot from the 1930s!
Ginnie Hart: It could be, Tom....HA! (But then it wouldn't be from me.)
Nice spot for a coffee break. Good natural effect, Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Graeme. The Dutch HAVE to have their koffie breaks, of course! smile

great scene. Have a nice week
Ginnie Hart: Thanks and thanks, Oscar. Gracias.
Exercise and a thermos of fresh coffee go so well on a Spring afternoon Ginnie... love your treatment....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch seem to have this down pat, Peter! smile Thanks.
That scene just looks so - comfortable. Congenial. Compatible. And is that some spring-like fringe I see on the shrubbery? It's lovely!
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Linda. And yes! This was just a week or so ago. smile Thanks.
a nice scene here, parked bikes, baskets, a thermos and glasses, out on a sunny day... this is exactly what i am going to do over this weekend!
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch LOVE to be outside the minute the sun starts shining, Ayush. So when in Rome.... smile Thanks.

a timely break for a long bike ride.. and they seem well prepared! grin
Ginnie Hart: The Dutch always seem prepared for such things, Rian. I love whenever I see it...and can be a part of it. smile
This has a timeless feel to it. The tonal range is very appropriate.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Andy!
Perhaps a romantic date?
Ginnie Hart: That's a nice thought, Marie. smile Merci.
Very nice shot !

Great capture Ginnie.
I love the low angle at which you took the shot. Well done.
At last I will have some time this week-end to work on my photos and start posting again.
Have a great Easter week-end !!!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elsabe, and work away on your images! I'll love seeing your posts again. Happy Easter weekend.

From the ladies expression it looks like a very serious conversation is taking place - maybe they're discussing the Big Bang Theory

Must not have been too strenuous of a ride -- they look so peaceful and comfortable. Like the tones of your processing on this.
Ginnie Hart: The good thing, Sue, is that Holland is so flat! It sure makes bike-riding fun and relaxing. smile Thanks.
Very nice capture
Ginnie Hart: Much appreciated, John. Thank you.
j'adore cette ambiance de pause face à une rivière après une balade en vélo

Greetings from Autumnal Canberra smile

Love the atmosphere to this picture ... is that a hill in the background? I didn't think there were any hills in Holland ;-)
Ginnie Hart: No hill, Geoff...just a line of tall trees. So yes, you're right. Almost no such thing as a hill in the Netherlands, and if there is, it's more like a molehill. smile Thanks.
Love this vintage look of this!
