I started early three day week end for me
Ginnie Hart: Good for you, Vintage. Enjoy it!
Woohoo!! I like the loooong look down this pier!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. For how much I'm a fan of the vanishing-point perspective, you'd think I'd use it more! smile

We could be in England on one of the piers -a fine composition - and a weekend feel of open sea or -better -'meer' on one of the grey, some misty days I love! Genieten jullie van het weekeind!
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Philine. You know how much I love these grey days!

I will open the gate (not visible in this picture) run all the way to the end of the pier and jump into the water..... grin....while shouting, 'weekend here I come'. JIPPIEEEEE.
A great picture, love the fog and the quiet lake.
Did you notice on all three poles, there is a seagull.
Ginnie Hart: I know you are so ready. I always think of you when Friday comes! And yes, I saw all three seagulls. I bet they always go back to the very same pole. I think there's also a "gate" in front of the boat. I pictured a horse there pawing at at, impatiently waiting for it to open. HA! Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA.

Yikes - it's Friday again, I'd forgotten what day it was. I hope Astrid & you have a good weekend!
Ginnie Hart: This is what happens when you're retired, Chris...but when you have a working wife who lives with you, it's hard to forget what day of the week it is. smile Happy weekend to you, too.

A wonderful visual metaphor for the weekend's beginnings. Well done!!!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Marcie. It was kinda chomping at the bit in my imagination. smile
That's an upbeat comment, Ginnie!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Elisabeth. Even though I'm already retired, I always feel the excitement for Astrid whenever Friday comes! smile
Have a good weekend...I have actually got to go to real work for a day on Monday! Then we are on holiday fro a few days in north Wales

Love the picture!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Bill. "Real work" on Monday. I guess once in awhile doesn't hurt, especially when followed by a holiday. Have fun.
First one in is a wet hen.
Ginnie Hart: HA! That's fun, Mary. grin
Those gulls aint going to budge.
Ginnie Hart: Nope. Not unless there's too much of a racket going on, I guess. smile

Magnifique perspective et très belle lumière.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Khalil.
I can see islands like off shore Ginnie. If they built barriers or dykes between them they could pump all of the water out and reclaim the land. Brilliant don't you think?
Ginnie Hart: You're a Dutchman deep down inside, Chad, and you know it! smile
water is calm but the day seems perfect for a rum, on board!
Ginnie Hart: HA! Sounds like a winner of a weekend, Juan Carlos. smile
TGIF!
Finally. smile

So where you taking us to, G?
Ginnie Hart: Your wish is my command, LC. smile How fun, right? Thanks.
I want to walk down all the way...
Ginnie Hart: Me, too, Chantal. Too bad there was a gate in front of us!

Grab the fishing rod and go into the misty yonder, good weekend Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Eaxactly, John. I'd like that. Thanks.
I like this picture, piers are always good shots. It is Mothering Sunday over here as against Mothers Day which I believe is later in the States.
Ginnie Hart: Yes, Brian. Our Mother's day is the second Sunday in May! Happy Mothering Sunday. Give our greetings to Maureen!
Good plan..good photo!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Roland.

The thrill of the sea. This week I get to enjoy a one day weekend. sigh
Ginnie Hart: I guess half a weekend is better than no loaf at all, Rob, but...too bad. Enjoy what you have to the hilt!
It has just begun for me Ginnie.
Enjoy your weekend.
Fine perspective shot.
Ginnie Hart: Merci, Richard. Enjoy yours to the hilt.
Like this one a lot. I like the perspective and the orange really pops out. Cheers, Dave.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Dave. I've always been a fan of the vanishing-point perspective. smile

Let the weekend begin, sung to the tune of 'Let the games begin'.The sho is inviting to fishermen, but not to swimmers.
Ginnie Hart: Exactly, Louis: Let the games begin! Still a bit too cold for swimming, though.
I like your framing with the depth of the pier Ginnie... i am sure that you are set to gosmile....petersmile
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Peter, and YES. At the first ray of sunshine, the Dutch are outside!

cool shot to celebrate the coming of the weekend.. grin
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Rian.
I looked at the pier on the left and wondered if anyone ever had been invited to take a long walk off that shorter pier! And I wonder what the big orange sign says - but I'm always wondering about things like that.

It looks like still-winter but maybe not so much. smile
Ginnie Hart: This was in early March, Linda, so, YES, still winterish. The sign says "Verboden aan to meren en te duiken": Forbidden to moor and to dive. Makes sense to me. smile Thanks.
A wonderful composiion with great perspective Ginnie! Have a great W.Esmile
Ginnie Hart: Thank you most kindly, Pavan.
Ahh, what a view, Ginnie!

Nicely composed. ;-)
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

shows off the day nicely..... brrrr....
