So that's what Dutch skates look like?? So different from the figure skates I know. Love the light in this image.
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Marcie. Yup. That's what Sutch skates look like. smile

Great image, love the light and the texture.
Love the reflection in the door. We did have fun with the skates. My skates are put back in the box with some grease to keep them from rusting.
Ginnie Hart: I love when we find these treasures out on out photo hunts. Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA.
What an awesome photo!!! Wonderful pair of skates too!
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, Elizabeth. Someone was really creative!

Haha! A fine observation! Bronkhorst is a lovely village I know -and then crossing over the IJssel by boat...
Ginnie Hart: Ahhhh. So you've seen this little Bronkhorst gem, Philine. Good for you. I love it when we can relive such places through each other's eyes. smile Bedankt.
Coole schaatsen, ik denk alleen dat er niet heel veel meer mee te doen is of wel... Mooi dat zonlicht op er op!
Ginnie Hart: Hartstikke bedankt, Robbie, voor deze reactie. I'm afraid there will be no more skating this season, at least not where we live. Maybe next year?
Well spotted Ginnie. They make a great picture.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.
I wonder what happened with the rest of the body grin
Ginnie Hart: HA! Chopped up for firewood, I think, Juan Carlos. grin

Lovely bit of grunge Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir. smile
Hanging up one's skates as they say. Difficult to judge the size of these nicely crafted replicas. Makes a great shot Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: They're not quite lifesize, John...maybe about half the size. Thanks.

Oh, I liked to stroll through Bronkhorst and took also some pics, there is a beautiful garden well-looked after by de Heren van Bronkhorst! Wim posted one picture of the IJssel some years ago on his blog. -Do you know also Breedevoort? heel nabij, een boekendorpje, ook met charm!
Ginnie Hart: I'll have to ask Astrid about the Breedevoort, Philine. We did go through the Charles Dickens Museum, though, which gave us plenty to see! In fact, here's a link to my other post today, which includes Bronkhorst in the second part:

And indeed! I hope that termites are not going to eat this beautiful photo, kiss Ginnie, good day...
Ginnie Hart: HA! Hopefully no termites, indeed. smile Merci, Pierrot.
What a find, Ginnie! They are what I call antique!
Ginnie Hart: Thanks, Mary. smile Antique and unique!
