Narcissism...each with his back to the others...

Great shot, Ginnie.
Ginnie: Narcissism or their final defense? Thanks, Ray.

Ginnie: Indeed, Paule.
All the handsome young men...
Ginnie: ...and nowhere to go! smile Thanks, Elizabeth.

These mannequins represent the retail trade's ideal customers Ginnie, all in their early 20s. I notice this is a UK phenomenon too. Unfortunataly people of that age tend to have little or no money: so a lot of these places are pointless
Ginnie: I suppose you're right, Chris. My guess, then, is that the parents still foot the bill?!

Jolly Wood indeed... LOL at Chris' comment.
I hope the shop sells raincoats and umbrella's too, it is a rainy summer in Holland.....
Great 'street view'.
Ginnie: Jollywood, Bollywood, Hollywood. They'like to think they have it all, I guess. Bedankt, MLMV.

Breda must be a town with international flair - Dutch- French- English/American words- Rodin's 'Citizens of C.' in a modern version - only young and fit men but there is a rollator for older and disabled persons on the left side? - an interesting ensemble and photograph!
Ginnie: Something for everyone, Philine? smile Bedankt.
Scruffy lot ...aint they. {grin]
Ginnie: You could say that, Richard. smile

now those are some UGLY outfits lolol fashion these days, meh.... nice shot tho lolol
Ginnie: This actually was from last year, Elaione, but my guess is the fashion hasn't changed much, if at all. smile Thanks.
If only we stayed this shape, or is it just an illusion to begin with.
Ginnie: HA! Life is an illusion, or so they say, Martin. smile Thanks.
Nothing a good iron would put right, i hate clothes with creases in them.
Ginnie: HA! I learn something new about you every day, Mick. grin

Unreal capture! lol
Ginnie: Too life-like for me, Aussie. I did a second-take the minute I saw them. smile Thanks.
Does the one on his own on the right have a personal hygiene problem?
Ginnie: I think he was heading things off at the pass, Bill. smile Thanks.
Well seen and shot smile
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, John.

Good fashion maybe a little young for me
Ginnie: You're never too young, Vintage. grin
Well frozen, Ginnie - what shutter speed did you use?
Ginnie: Thanks, Tom. Assuming the camera doesn't lie, the EXIF says 1/400s. If you put your cursor over the image, do you get the same info I do???

LOL@ Rays comment. One of them is a bit worse for wear smile
Ginnie: Yes, indeed, Scarlet. smile Thanks.
Breda, you could have stopped by at my house, I live just outside Breda
Ginnie: Really, Chantal?! This was taken a year ago when we were there. I'm pulling images from my unassigned bin. smile
Nice shot, Ginnie.
I noticed they are all wearing security tags so they don't walk off the job. smile
Ginnie: HAHAHA! Good eye, Jimi. smile Thanks.

Eentje halen zonder afspraak? Kan lekker worden.
Ginnie: If you say so, Louis. smile Bedankt.
Oh, it's pretty cool in England at the moment.
Today's only 15...
I saw people wearing scarves and gloves yesterday! Ha~
Ginnie: Actually, this was taken last year, LC, so you're right...it've very cool here, too. I'm even wearing a hoodie here at the laptop...as well as gloves. grin

I always like a good shot of manikins - these chaps doing their best to look hip and cool. Wonderful Ginnie.
Ginnie: Thank you, Mike. I took a second-take on these guys because they looked so real when I first saw them.
I remember when I was young and slim Ginnie. Ha, those days are long past. Just returned from a long road trip. We spent a day in Atlanta visiting a friend. I had my first Turkish coffee! Now I'm hooked :^)
Ginnie: Atlanta??? That's where I lived for 25 years (north of the Perimeter). It's a small world after all. Welcome back and thanks.

very nice.
oh inside it looks like summer, but outside :-((
Ginnie: Bedankt, Petra, and you are so right. I have my sweatshirt on right now, with gloves on my hands here at the laptop! Brrrr. This summer has been more like autumn. I wonder if autumn will be like summer?
One terribly lonely outsider !
Ginnie: He's heading things off at the pass, Wim. smile Bedankt.

I wish...I was young enough to wear that gear and/or it was warm enough to do so...I can hear the wind and the rain on the roof as I write. Brrr!
Ginnie: Actually, George, this was taken a year ago when it was much warmer than now. I think we have autumn and summer turned around this year. I'm sitting here with my sweatshirt and gloves on! smile
Haha, it appears that all their money was spent on their summer duds, Ginnie, with nothing left over to shod their feet.
Ginnie: HA! Well observed, Beverly. Spoken like a true mother. grin Thanks.
Love this shot! They look like some kind of surfer gang...
Ginnie: Thank you, JP. Indeed. I can see it. smile

All I can say is, 'Cheer up it might never happen'.
Ginnie: HA! The way it looks now, Chad, is that autumn and summer will be totally reversed...or we'll miss summer altogether and have a very long fall!
Good shot Ginnie, I thought it was a male chorus line up in a stage show from the thumbnail.
Ginnie: HA! Not a bad idea, Brian. smile Thanks for the smile.
I haven't seen this before when the shop window occupants go outside. Nice shot Ginnie
Ginnie: I know, Janet! I had a second look myself when I saw it. smile Thanks.
They look so lifelike Ginnie! Fabulous colors, light and detail in this superb capture!!
Ginnie: Yhank you, Pavan. I did a double-take when I first saw them. smile

Nice shot Ginnie.
These are dog days, but where's the summer? ;-)
Have a nice evening.
Ginnie: Thanks, Fooko. No summer here yet. I'm in my sweatshirt and wearing gloves at my laptop. Astrid says we'll have some hot days when autumn comes. HA!
Fun capture.. there must be a story here...love your composition...
Ginnie: Can you imagine having to take those men in and out of the story every day, Gale! THAT'S the story, I think. smile Thanks.
Good eye and a great find Ginnie....it speaks of the nature of so many human beings loosing their individuality....petersmile
Ginnie: Thanks, Peter. You do have a point! Keeping up with the Joneses and all that.

They don't look to happy in their posing for the camera ;-)
Ginnie: Pretty static and dead-in-the-pan, Cherie. Agreed! Thanks. smile
Excellent photo Ginnie!
Ginnie: Thank you kind sir. Merci.
They should be out enjoying the sun smile
Ginnie: HA! You're very right, Michael. smile Thanks.
They haven't gone very far since the last time you showed us these quiet fashion conscious folks Ginnie lolgrin....petersmile
Ginnie: I'm sure they went in over the night for a good sleep, Peter, but just like that, there they are again this morning! grin

Ginnie: It's a fabulous city, Marion. I hope you have many good memories from there! Bedankt.

Summer fashion in it's finest. It is mid July and some shops here already have their autumn fashions on display. So weird.
Ginnie: Thanks, Rob. We have a friend who owns a fashion shop here where we live and she has already purchased her clothes for winter, too. It always amazes me how far ahead they have to think about fashion. Sigh. No wonder I keep wearing the same clothes year after year. They eventually will come back into style. grin

BTW, I tried to access your blog but couldn't get to it, no matter how I Googled it. I'll try again later.
Oh, now this is a fun shot. Looks like they're all waiting for something to happen, Ginnie...maybe someone should tell them that the football season starts later this year? smile
Ginnie: HA! I like that, Alex. All dressed up and nowhere to go. grin Thanks.

they look like a group of bison protecting a calf.. ;D

nicely captured though, i liked the quality of light.. smile
Ginnie: HA! You sure have an active imagination, Rian. grin Thanks for the smile.
mannequins creep me out, dolls as well. one thing I notice about these mannequins are the neutral look to them. You clearly tell it's a male mannequins, but as far the 'male' features are missing making them neutral, i bet if you put long hair and added a dress, you'd get the same feel.
Ginnie: Interesting point, Nik, which I quite like. Unisex mannequins! Thanks for stopping by and commenting again.

Ginnie: Exactly, Andy. smile Thanks.
Excellent light in this one, and it sure does open up for a lot of different interpretations in our modern world....
Ginnie: Thank you, Aksel, and yes...I agree!
