The reflection of this petal gives clarity to the memory of both Mom and the far away sender of the tulips.
Ginnie: Her nephew from Washington, D.C. sent them, Kathryn, and then he came to see her before she passed away. That, too, was like a reflection. Thank you.
Well caught A great picture and very symbolic again.
Ginnie: Lots of symbolism these days, Louis! Thanks.

The tulips are falling. On Dutch 'Stilleven' we often see tulips- as symbol of joy of life (Carpe diem) and of vanity, decay- that's life, that are the two sides of life! A lovely pic - in memory of your Mom!
Ginnie: That's a new "trivia" for me, Philine, and very appropriately remembered for this image. Thank you for that thought, as always.
I can imagine the feelings you have, please don't apologize for expressing them.
Ginnie: Thank you, Chantal, for that "permission" to mourn. Sometimes I think it's gotta be tiresome to everyone else, but then...it's my blog, as my daughter often tells me! Tomorrow the days of mourning will be over and we'll dance!
Tulip? Two lips? It's a lovely image, symbolic on many levels for me, esp. thinking of you, D. and AMS.
Ginnie: Two lips! I like that, Ruth. So would she. If only she knew....I wonder! And yes, I look forward to AMS on Monday with longing. Five weeks away has been much too long.
Powerful image, Ginnie.
I think it accurately represents something important...strong people affect everything and everyone around them...when they are no longer there, they remain a presence, reflected by the powerful influences they had before they went.
I love this image.
Ginnie: I couldn't have said it better, Ray! Thank you, kind sir.
Sparakeloos, the refelection is spot on, the symbolic is so great, the colors are stuning, this is so very well taken, you can be very proud with it, the thought behind it and the way you captured it, ontzettend goed.
Ginnie: Your flattery will get you everywhere, mijn lieve vriend! And I mean that sincerely! Thank you.
