photoblog image East is West

East is West

Everywhere I go, I just HAVE to take a pic of a weather vane.  This is the only one I happened to capture while we were in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada) back in October.  It reminds me of the astrological natal chart where East is West and North is South, if you know what I mean!

Thats really cool Ginnie. Old things and me just get along so i love your photo. It is really excellent. just the right amount of sky, cool angle on the roof. It would be nice to see the bright green mossy bits too.. Nice photo!!! !S.
Ginnie: Thanks, Sorcha. You know, I never even saw those "bright green mossy bits" till after I took the pic, as so often happens. Maybe I could have gotten them more into the pic otherwise! That's a good suggestion!

Well composed Ginnie, that lovely blue sky makes the vane jump out too. smile
Ginnie: Don't you love it, Chris, when the sky cooperates! smile Thanks for your comment.
Nice shot.
Ginnie: Thanks, Dotun.

Lovely photo Ginnie, well framed and well focused too. The weathervane is beautifully sharp against the blue sky.

I think if I'd taken it it would have been be a dark silhouette!
Ginnie: Thanks, Ellie. I was lucky that I passed by just as the late afternoon sun was going down upon it. A few minutes later it WOULD have been a silhouette!
