Little Bo Peep

Late this afternoon Donica and I will fly to Hannover from London after what I'm sure was a full weekend (this post  is pre-published).  Soon I'll be back in the swing of things here on SC, I promise, and will start showing London pics.

In the meantime, here's a weather vane from Hannover's City Center.  I LOVE weather vanes but usually don't have a clue about what they mean, if anything.  This one always reminds me of Little Bo Peep!
Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep
And can't tell where to find them.
Leave them alone, And they'll come home,
Wagging their tails behind them

That's a lovely wind vane. The image looks straight out of a fairytale. It could have used a bit of straightening though, but a great picture nonetheless.
Ginnie: What I decided to do, Kedar, was to straighten the actual vane, which put the top of the building at an angle. If I had straightened the building, the vane would have been at an angle. So, decisions, decisions! Thanks for your comment.

This really is a lovely weather vane. Good contrast here. You should return there when the sky is blue and take another pic. smile

What a really clear photograph to have been taken from quite a distance, and at an awkward angle. It's a very interesting and intricate shape too.

I do hope your short stay over here in UK was good, and the weather was kind so that you could see all you hoped for. smile
Ginnie: As I told Kedar, I decided to straighten the vane itself and let the building be angled rather than the other way around (decisions, decisions!). But you're right, Ellie--when you take a pic that's so high up, there is always an angle to something!

Our time in London/UK was fabulous. I can hardly wait to start telling bits and pieces through my pics (like you will be doing of your time in Portugal!). So you know what I'm feeling. smile Thank you.

It was great talking with you just now! I didn't even tell you that I had your SC page open while I chatted with you and D. wink Can't wait to see photos of Bath, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle!

Nice shot! I haven't been to London is maybe 15 years and am looking forward to the shots from there!
