Jolis sabots mais je ne sais pas s'ils sont bien confortables

I LOVE the light in this shot!

Does anybody still wear clogs in the Netherlands Ginnie??
Ginnie Hart: Oh yes, Chris: farmers and street workers. We see them regularly. Believe it or not, Astrid wore a pair during her school time, around 17-18 years old. She loved them...and liked being different. smile

Ginnie Hart: One day I'll have to take a photo of the wooden shoes you have made into a planter! Bedankt.

I like the theatrical drama of this image Ginnie.
Ginnie Hart: Leave it to me to be dramatic, Chad, right??! smile
This could be the cover of a mystery novel Ginnie
Ginnie Hart: HA! Hmmm. I wonder what the plot might be in your mind, Bill. smile
we used to have a pair of wooden shoes like that by my parents' front door, they always captured my imagination, and i loved them! also love this shot!! dare i ask, does anybody wear them over there?
Ginnie Hart: Oh, yes, Elaine...mainly farmers and street workers, because they're comfortable against moist fields and are protective. Astrid wore them an entire year at school when she was 17, just to be different. smile
Tulpen en klompen....hoe hollands samen.
Fijn weekend
Ginnie Hart: HA! Indeed so, Marjolein!

Great use of warm light to showcase this beautiful still life! I bet these wooden shoes didn't help Astrid during the Mud and Water Challenge! ;-)
Ginnie Hart: HA HA about Astrid's Mud and Water Challenge, Steven. You have a great memory! Thanks.
I love how you used the light. Beautiful contrasts.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you kindly, Ruthie.
You couldn't have asked for more dramatic light than you have here, what a great image and really enjoyable strong colours.
Ginnie Hart: Thank you, kind sir.

dit moet wel Holland zijn Ginnie..

lang geleden heb ik het wel eens geprobeerd, maar mijn ding is het niet

knappe foto
Ginnie Hart: More Dutch you cannot get, Willy. HA! But yes, I can understand why wearing wooden shoes is not everyone's cuppa tea. smile Thanks.

When this first came up on my screen I thought it was a coffin, ha! So I totally agree with someone who said it could be a cover of a mystery novel! Well done with the lighting!
Ginnie Hart: I can see how/where this image took you, Robin. (sigh) But thanks. I quite like working with low lighting, as I think you do, too.
