The mileage might not be so good, but character? You betcha! What a great treatment you've given it - I have this compulsion to brush the rust off myself!
Ginnie: Thanks, Linda. I have a feeling it's lived a colorful life. grin
Some powerful carwash here, Ginnie.
Ginnie: You betcha, Graeme. grin

Of course its not scrap, Ginnie...this fine vehicle is being prepared for a makeover...
Ginnie: I'll just trust you on this one, Ray. HA!
Wonderful images from you both!
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, dear Elizabeth.
I agree with Astrid Ginnie... it's a fixer-upper lol... love your colour treatment... it enhances the rust....petersmile
Ginnie: A photographer's dream car, Peter! HA! Thank you. smile
If this car could talk, i'm sure it would have a lot of stories to tell! Excellent capture.! Ginnie.
Ginnie: Indeed, Sue! I have a feeling it's been blabbing away for a long time now. smile Thank you.

WOW, that is a lot of Heavy Metal there. I love your treatment. I wonder how it looks after the paint job. Great POV.
Ginnie: Hartstikke bedankt, MLMA. I wonder long long it's been sitting there like that, waiting for its next journey?!? smile

Looks like a Triumph ... a scrape and a lick of paint and she'd be as good as new!

You get your WP issues sorted?
Ginnie: I'm sure any number of us could make something of it, Geoff, if we could get our hands on it! smile Thanks.

And yes, once you rescued my comment from the Spam box, I think we fixed it...at least for your site.

I like the colour treatment here, Ginnie, with rust being the primary colour!
Ginnie: Thank you, Lisl. It seemed appropriate for what we saw!

The person who owns this must be very skilled or optimistic Ginnie!
Ginnie: I was thinking the same, Chris. It makes me wonder how long it's been sitting there like that and how many inquiries it's had?!

Old, old beauty... Like♥
Ginnie: You'd have a heyday there, Luiza! Thanks.

BTW, could you please check your Spam box to see if my comment is there? And do you use Wordpress? My comment seems to have been eaten up!
Looks like a Triumph Stag to me. A friend of mine had one many years ago.
Ginnie: You may be right, Bill, because Geoff also thinks the same. Makes you wonder if it will ever find its former glory?!

Love the title..and what a great find..altho a somewhat sad one. Amazing 'grunge' effect here!
Ginnie: Thank you, Marcie. You do have to wonder what it's all about and how long it has sat there to warrant such a sign.

Your processing has made this even more rusty than it probably is. I thought that this have been caught in barn fire at first but it's just a shell - no sign of any wheels or engine, etc. I thought it was a Triumph 2000 at first but now I'm thinking it is a Stag.
Ginnie: This whole scene screamed GRUNGE to me, Alan. HA! You're the 3rd person who has called it a Triumph, and the 2nd to add Stag. That probably means you're right?! smile
Ha ha... I'm an Indie fan.
You saw my Indian temple pictures today?
That explains why I am an Indie fan. wink

You always find some really interesting stuff to shoot.
Ginnie: Don't you love the connections we can make between blogs and posts, LC! And yes, there's always something really interesting to see everywhere we go!

Looks like it needs much love and care good photo
Ginnie: Someone definitely does NOT want it to be relegated to the scrap heap, Vintage! Thanks.
Interesting capture Ginnie, wonder what it would look like in B&W.
Ginnie: Even grungier, I'm sure, Fred?!
Will need a lot of elbow grease to restore this one Ginnie.
Ginnie: And does anyone have it, Peter??? grin
Talking about matches..., I would save it too.
Ginnie: HA! I'd love to talk to its owner, Juan Carlos, to get the low-down on it. smile
Fabulous processing !
Ginnie: Merci, dear Marie.

A fabulpus capture of this old has been car Ginnie. Looks like it is in serious need of some TLC. Beautifully seen!
Ginnie: Thank you, Laurette. I bet there are a lot of people who'd love to get their hands on this one! smile
The restoration project that was never got underway, I think a lot of us blokes have had aspirations to doing something like this but never found or had the time. Makes a great photo though.
Ginnie: Thanks, John. I definitely saw this as a good photo op for any number of blokes out there. HA!

There are those who make 'lemonade out of lemons' and you, my friend, have found 'art in junk!' Cool capture!
Ginnie: You're a sweetheart, Sue. THANK YOU.
A great picture Ginnie, but what a shame to see an old classic like this in such poor condition.
Ginnie: Thanks, Brian. Don't you wonder!
Triumph Stag, I'd say...a great looking car....in former years grin A great shot Ginnie!
Ginnie: Thanks, Martin. You're the 4th person who's said it's a Triumph Stag so I'm taking your word for it. I can just imagine what it looked like in its day!
Superb photo with a beautiful texture. I like it. Excellent work Ginnie. Have a lovely day Ginnie. Amicably Antoine.
Ginnie: Thank you, Antoine. Merci. smile

Whoever is the owner forgot to dry it off after it had a Bath. Now it is Rusty and not Scrap Metal. Maybe.
Ginnie: Could be, Louis. I knew there had to be a logical explanation! smile
No doors, no roof, no engine, no wheels, no windows, but not scrap? Could have fooled me!
Ginnie: Exactly what I thought, Tom!

This was once a glory of a pompous, luxury car -your processing has given it back some glittering splendour - at least in our imagination! Chris might know more about the owner of this car.
Ginnie: Wouldn't you love to learn more, Philine! smile We were so happy to find it on our walk-about that first day.
Ginnie: Oh-Oh-Oh! Wouldn't it be something if this could end up looking like that! Thanks for the link, Martin!
It would make a great conversation piece in someone's den...
Ginnie: HA! You sure have a great imagination, Larry. grin
Your treatment enhances very nicely the rust effect Ginnie!
Ginnie: Thank you, kind sir. Merci.
Oh dear is this where Chris put you up.
Ginnie: Pretty nearby, Mick, yes. grin

I guess in the current heatwave in the USA, it would have just the right amount of ventilation.
Ginnie: Yes, George, you're right...even though this was in England!
Fantastic. The front of the car has an air of menace about it.
Ginnie: Thanks, Dave. You do wonder what message it wants to give off! smile
Just out of curiosity, is there a way to get your posts here by email? I tried the RSS feed, but nothing happened. I could be looking right past it!
Ginnie: Good question, Linda. I'll ask John, one of our administrators....
so sad to see good cars gone bad ...
Ginnie: Better here than on the junk heap, though, right, Dennis??!
