Ginnie: It's also the "basking in the sun" sign, Ray...and the prayer of thansgiving for something that hadn't been seen for many days/weeks!

Andy Who? Think Wimbeldon and England's first time to have a Englishman win the final in 70 years!
It must be a rare occasion to get a sunny day in Bath Ginnie... Chris seems to be in ecstasy....petersmile
Ginnie: Ecstasy is a good word for what Chris was experiencing in that moment, Peter! Total and unabashed ecstasy!
Someone has been dancing here because we suddenly have sun and it is very hot.
Ginnie: I don't wish the heat on anyone right now, Michael, but if you've had a lot of rain, I'm glad you now have the sun!
Oh man ... be careful Chris. You appear to have been rubbing shoulders for too long with David Icke.
Ginnie: So, I just Googled David Icke and....hmmm. This actually was Chris at one of his most sane, grateful and blissful moments ever, Richard. smile

Oh, this is a wonderful portrait of our Green Man - he seems to be full in trance and certainly filled with pleasure when you both arrived.
Oh, Ginnie, we have enough sun here - and heat, and in England I enjoyed enough sun, too, so that my face looks now a bit sun- burnt. Chris looks always like having the sun in his face because of his many outdoor activities - and often he has the sun in his heart, too!
Ginnie: Apparently they had had weeks of rain before we arrived, Philine. In fact, on that walk we had to avoid many mud puddles. So when the sun was out that first day, Chris really was in ecstasy.

Chris is an outdoor-man. And this is a wonderful portrait of a man with the sun in his face and his heart (like Philine already mentioned)
We were so lucky to have a period of sunny days, in between the pouring rain.

Ginnie: This really was a moment of pure ecstasy for Chris. He couldn't believe the sun after all those days of rain...arriving the same day as we did! I'm so glad I was able to capture him. smile

...love your pictures, and you have been trying so hard to get the English/British right. But ...Andy Murray is Scottish (or British) but definitely not English (re: your reply to Ray). It is a minefield. Shame we can't all be classed as members of the fantastic Human Race.

But no, I'm from Michigan (early years) and Georgia (later years). However, I lived in Chicago one year and LOVED the windy city!!! smile I live in the right country now because Holland gets LOTS of wind, which I love!

Absolutely love this guilt ridden picture of Sir Chris. Whodunnit? Yes HE did smile Superb!

Btw, I am actually watching Andy Murray against Tsonga, Fingers crossed.

The truth is Andy,is actually SCOTTISH, but everyone (English, Northern Irish and Welsh) says he is 'BRITISH' cause he might actually win something. He becomes VERY Scottish sharpish if this was football-no British anything there. Now that I have sufficiently confused you, I will stop typing now...tongue

Ginnie: He was only with Astrid and me, Louis, out in the quiet neighborhood of the farm...no traffic. Just Mother Nature and Father Sun. After all that rain, Chris was in heaven, basking!
